Yet another reason why any lawyer worth his license would have advised fatso that going on a media PR tour is one of the stupidest things someone like him and in his situation can do, as well as persisting in obsessively posting on social media.

If he's attempted to retain a lawyer recently they've likely priced him out of being able to retain them (because it's obvious his is a loser of a case and he's going to be an obnoxious asshole of a client) and/or they insisted on a retainer up front, which fatso can't come up with unless some SFWA type benefactor helps him lose another one.

Though judges are typically very lenient with allowing endless continuances, this motion by Pat may very well work against him in allowing Pawlowski to now file a response to that motion. This is assuming his motion will even be considered at all, given it's past the deadline.

Not a lawyer, but unless there's something else behind-the-scenes this boneheaded move will be the only thing that allows Quasi's side to introduce new, updated evidence now in arguing against this proposed continuance.

So, instead of just the older evidence within the July 14th contempt filing being looked over by Sosnay, this motion should allow the entry of new evidence including such created since that date: the Pretend Podcast, his tweets saying Sosnay can't do shit to him and doesn't have authority to make him pay, most recent debt-denials, etc. can now all be introduced thanks to Patty.
