If I read it correctly Marvel now only has 1 movie listed for a 2024 release and that’s Dead Pool 3 and they’re really putting a lot behind it because they need a hit. I think they even shuffled things around so they go back to work on that as soon as the strike ends.

They first thought 70 million and didn’t let the reviews come out until the Wednesday before opening. By Friday they were thinking only 60 million but it didn’t even make 50 and will only drop off from here.

Also they were offering discounted tickets for the opening weekend which I’ve never seen a major movie have to do opening weekend. I’m sure they will blame it on the patriarchy, evil white men, and other nonsense.

I can count on one hand the amount of marvel movies I’ve seen in the last 15 years. It isn’t because I’m a cool guy it’s because they just aren’t good movies, this one looks just as bad as the rest of them to me. They are all incredibly gay, puerile unfunny shit with terrible CGI and diversity hire Mary sues.

I think I read this movie was the 33rd marvel movie - I’m not sure if they started with spider man / X-Men movies in the early 2000s or they start with RDJ Iron Man but 33 movies seems ridiculous.

Which is how it should've been. They did too many too fast and that quality is impossible to scale. Their only bona fide money maker as of now is half owned by Sony. If they are going to rebuild, they need to start with familiar characters to draw in a broad audience and build out storylines for peripheral characters from there. (Who gave a fuck about Doctor Strange or Black Panther before 2016?) So they really need to make sure those X-Men and F4 movies are solid gold because that's their only path out of this.

That’s what I thought, that was the official “start” of the MCU and the first 3 spider mans, X-Men, Hulk, Fantastic Four, etc that came before didn’t count. Also, isn’t there some issue that they can’t have Spider-Man and X-Men be in “Avengers” universe? Like there’s an ownership / rights issue or something? Or was that figured out?

But wow, 33 movies? Surprised it took that many for people to finally get tired of it. From what I hear from fans they feel the last Avengers was where they should have stopped - everything since just can’t compare and they’re running out of characters to make movies about.

I think I saw the first few ones - the first hulk (2003, not even the norton one), spiderman & iron man, that fantastic four movie that came out in 2004 before the super hero shit really got going, one or two of the early x-men films and thats it.

The avengers shit always looked really gay. I may have watched star trek back in the day but when I see the comic book stuff I just get the urge to yell fags and walk away. It just looks so childish.

If I'm going to watch something with faggy one liners it's going to have arnold or stalone in it and there's going to be gore. Character development is for QUEERS.

Kim Jong Un's North Korea has hacked the Sony Servers and leaked the film on the internet beforehand! That's the reason for it flopping now!
It's our patriotic duty to go to the cinema and watch this movie now! Multiple times if possible.

I never saw Harry Potter because I was in high school when it came out so I wasn’t in the target audience of young children. I never had any desire to see movies of kids playing wizard unlike someone who is OLDER than me and can only watch programs made for children to sell toys.
