This sentence is confusing. Does it imply that the FBI seized his devices in July of 2023 yet waited to arrest him until now? Also, has Pat claimed he was "swatted" since last July?

The timeline seems to be

end of 2022 - Twitch hired investigator put to task to find out who Torswats is, orders a fake SWAT, gets IP

January 2023 - Investigator hands over information to FBI

February 2023 - June 2023 - FBI does their own linking of the guy to Torswats before getting a warrant signed to raid his house

July 2023 - They take Torswats devices after raiding his house and make an official connection between him and the service.

August 2023 - From here until now they look into his devices collecting evidence to prepare for a trial. Considering this his crimes span over multiple states that needs to be taken into account and they need to backtrace which places he called before making any sort of arrest warrant / charge. You want a dead case against him and to announce all charges upfront, not a few and then tack more on later.

January 2024 - Arrested.

Then you have the other timeline:

April 2023 - Torswats is officially connected to Patrick and the Motherboard article talking about the telegram channel is announced.

June(?) 2023 - Torswats “comes back” (from whereever he went) and starts swatting again.

And based on that it sort of seems like multiple people are operating under the aliases. Once “Torswats” got his devices taken by the FBI another faggot started right back up.
