But you're right with your greater point. Of course there's no correlation between cheap energy and cheap goods. If the US stopped all oil production and the price skyrocketed, price of pretzels wouldn't budge, unless it was simple price gouging, which obviously is what big pretzel is doing.
I have no idea what I'm talking about but: different wells produce different oils. Refineries are specific to oil types it can crack. It's one reason of the economic necessity of importing and exporting oil within one nation, even if it seems self-reliant...
I'm tired of writing this so instead of finishing my argument or deleting I'll just say I understand you're nitpicking Joe's post to call him stupid cause it's fun. Your post inspired me to do the same. It's not fun. It's exhausting.
