I’m a diehard lifelong baseball fan and so far I like the new rules.

Thought I would hate the shift ban but I’m actually liking it. It’s not fun to watch defense when it’s basically just which team has the better positioning algorithm. From what I’ve seen watching Spring Training so far, we’re getting more diving plays on defense and more singles, which is exactly where the sport needs to go.

I would be against the shift ban if there were viable counter strategies against the shift - ie, if the entire team is lined up on the left side of the field and there's a 15% chance the hitter hits it to right field and can get an inside the park home run, that's very exciting. But if it's 0 then the shift sucks and makes the game boring

Pitch clock is the greatest thing they've done in the past 30 years. It's been in the minors for awhile now so younger guys are already used to it and it will be an afterthought in 3-4 years. I think you're not going to see guys throw 102 every pitch anymore since they can't take 90 seconds to load up each pitch. I think that's also going to help arm injuries and hopefully we'll see guys going deeper into games.

The new clock is shaving about 20-30mins off the overall game time. I wish I could watch more spring training. Even if its just a field cam and and sounds of the game with no announcers. I think I only get one ST game to watch the team I like. Just start the season already.

Who do you cheer for and who do you cheer against? the whole cheering for a team schtick because you live there is kinda gay

against:
1) dodgers:
full of faggots and spineless pussies, freeman could have been the best brave of all time but he took like 30 million more in la, mookie "blm vegan twink" vetts, kershaw is a fag, they dropped bauer, etc
2) padres: hopefully soto machado and tatis end the same way buddy holly did
3) mariners: im sick of julio rodrigues, and just youtube their irish postgame dance if you havent seen it. fuck seattle

for:
1) astros: they cheated and dont even care lol. love some houston big booty latinas
2) phillies: their team is basically the great white hope minus some token dominicans
3) yankees: cole shoves, rodon shoves, giancarlo and judge dont give a fuck, and donaldson called tim anderson of the whitesox wannabe jackie robinson lol

it was really gay how they gave judge juiced balls to break the record LOOK IT UP! IT'S IN YOUR NOTES! ohtani is the best to ever play puuuriod.

pitchclock is PFG, banning shift is PFG, correa is a faggot, i hope the mets fall apart with try hard verlander and scherzer breaking down mid season, darkhorse team is the marlins this year if they can put it all together for a wild card and get lucky

Ill get off my soapbox

Any brotherman play fantasy baseball and have tips on guys looking to break out this year? I need something to feed my addiction until football starts again, but I always end up making smoothbrain casual moves. Last year I drafted Kris Bryant early because IVE HEARD OF HIM and he wound up with like 2 HRs the entire season.

Good luck. Id lose interest halfway through the season. I tried fantasy hockey when it was still pretty new and I just couldnt keep up. It turned into more work than fun trying to do lineups before the game starts. If there was a series of games that had an early start Id be too busy at work to setup line ups and end up taking dumb losses. At least with football you have week to get ready at your own pace. Baseball, basketball, andhockey have too long of seasons for fantasy to be fun IMO.

I just can't get the hang of fantasy hockey which sucks because it's my favorite of the 4 sports.

Basketball is actually retardedly easy because most basketball fans aren't stat nerds, it's black dudes who take Ja Morant in the 1st round because "he a real nigga". I just stay sober during the draft making logical BPA selections and always end up with a super team that needs minimal upkeep. Yahoo auto-sets your lineup with the click of a button every week and then DTD it's a minute on the toilet to see if anyone's hurt or if there are any solid free agents available. 95% of the time it's just "nobody's hurt, free agents suck, see ya tomorrow".

Lot of White Sox players could have made this list but AV is a good pick now that he'll be playing 1B instead of in the outfield. La Russa deservedly got most of the heat for the trainwreck last year but the trainers, medical staff, and hitting coach were far worse. La Russa was just an empty chair. The others were actively harming the team's chances to win, especially the hitting coach. Vaughn, Robert, Jimenez, and Moncada will all benefit massively from a better hitting philosophy. Menechino, the old hitting coach, wanted the team to hit for average and have a "singles offense" or some stupid shit rather than swinging free and trying to hit for power. So glad that useless fuck is gone.

Fucking mets are 100 million over the luxury tax and in game 2 have David Peterson on the mound with Mark Canha hitting 5th behind Alonso.

Billy Eppler sucks a dick.
