The problem is that Vince damaged pro wrestling permanently, he was so infatuated with giant men, he forgot they were supposed to be able to move. Barring The Undertaker, Cena or Randy Orton most of the big characters he propped up, wrestled like fridges.

Also, old school wrestlers were on so many drugs and general debauchery 99% of them destroyed their bodies, minds and families. So maybe a faggier approach to rehab after spending weeks on end taking bumps in the ring isn't that bad.

I read how Sabu had said for his ECW matches he had Paul Heyman not let anyone else use a table / put someone through it before his match just to make it special. He also told whoever he put through a table to tell everyone it hurt (it didn’t) just to keep other wrestlers from doing it because then it would get over used. Now it’s just flip after flip after flip and doesn’t mean anything.

They script every word of the wrestlers promos instead of being comfortable with them being able to work the crowd on their own. Also outside of Paul Heyman they don’t even have managers anymore that used to be able to work the crowd for wrestlers who can’t talk.
