Probably not the dumbest thing I've ever heard but it's definitely up there. I used to work with this 19 year old zoomer girl who happened to be black. She was also one of the dumbest people I've ever met. She very regularly overstepped boundaries, always the first to correct her superiors, only to be laughed at and told she was wrong/retarded. Or sometimes they'd just roll their eyes and laugh her off. It was clear that she was never told to shut the fuck up as a child. Especially for someone so dumb. The shit that would tumble out of her retarded mouth was just staggering, and the level of confidence with which she'd deliver it was insane. She was that enviable sort of dumb where you know she'll never actually experience depression or hopelessness or even grasp how much of a joke she is to the rest of the world. Idealistic and stupid enough to drink the kool aid and be a consummate NPC. Just a living caricature of your average zoomer who was seen and heard far too often as a kid.

Anyway, this person applied for a new position. She was lamenting one day how they were blocking her from getting this position because she was black. But she was puzzled, because everyone she'd dealt with in HR had been a person of color. To make things even more confusing, 70% of the people working the same position she applied for were black and female. She concluded that there had to have been someone higher up on the food chain in HR that was a middle aged white woman who was specifically persecuting her simply because she was black. She invented this Karen strawman in her head because she was so stupid she couldn't fathom that it was her attitude, behavior, or basic retardation that made them hesitant to hire her. As I heard her explain her rationale I kept my nose in my phone, knowing nothing good could come from commenting on the absurdity dribbling out of her mouth. You think people like that only exist on the internet. But on the rare occasion you encounter one in real life it's very jarring.

My sister was a welfare parasite who banged out a trio of love babies with her cumstain of a deadbeat boyfriend, and lived the bulk of her adult life on the dole. One day she stopped by for something, saw my paycheck stub, and flipped out over how it was "unfair" that "they" were "giving me" more than she "got", because she had three kids and I had none. We had the same parents, and went to the same schools, yet well into her 30s she believed that everyone got checks from the same government agency. It was staggering, embarrassing stupidity on a grand, grand scale. I had to explain to her how employment, wages, and taxes worked, as she just had no idea, not even on an elementary level.
