What’s the least funny repeated joke or reference on da show?

That week back in the late 2000s where Opie tried to get the phrase, “Big boys got the big bat today!” to counter the equally bad Chip.

Whenever any of them got a crutch or phrase that they liked they would beat it into the ground eternally. Opie had a few catch phrases that went nowhere like "brotherman" or "face". He would use "howling" to the point where fans put together a compilation of him saying it over and over. Opie was responsible for bringing all of the viral Youtube videos to the show like spamming "Chocolate Rain" over and over that had one two good moments but atomic bombed every other time. Opie (and Anthony) would also play drops and other sounds over a news report of whatever they were talking about so you could not hear the news segment. Then they would talk about the segment because they had listened in the back office already but the audience had no idea.

Norton had his 'puddle of AIDS' jokes that he lost his mind over Maxwell pointing out, despite the fact that Patrice did the exact same joke during the roast of Norton's old material "badabada-dah! AIDS!". They also had things like Norton saying "HILARIOUS!" or "he doesn't like it....he LOVES IT!!" that would bomb more often than not. "Pink sock" was another where once Norton learned that phrase he crammed it into every conversation. They would do a news story about a woman who baked a cake and Norton would scream "IT WAS IN THE SHAPE OF A PINK SOCK.....SHE WAS PINK SOCKED!!".

But the worst offender is Anthony. Listen to any segment or saga where lots of comedians are in the studio and you will hear Anthony repeat every single joke or line verbatim and then laugh under his breath. It would happen three or four times in a break and sometimes he would repeat practically every single word that someone said and laugh whilst doing it. Anthony repeats jokes more than he tells jokes which is not an exaggeration. Anthony probably repeated 2-3x more jokes on the show than he actually told. Once you know that Anthony does this you cannot un-hear it. He repeats every other joke and laughs over his own voice like a retard.

I said it in a thread yesterday but the “thank you for coming to my birthday party” drop doesn’t fit anywhere and chocolate rain was way over used especially when he would mash it In succession.

Yeah it was like super early in 30 Rock where they were still trying to find the show's voice but had Pee Wee Herman do a WACKY character. I never understood the context of that clip and why the hell one of the hosts was so enamored with it. Jim could have probably made it funny with Uncle Paul but everyone knows Anthony genuinely wants to fuck kids and that he had a history of creeping on Rich’s daughter.

Anthony would throw out Jon Benet Ramsey lines that would bomb horribly in front of the other comics. But Jim would do Uncle Paul jokes that would basically be ten times darker and more insane but would usually get laughs. Like Norton once said as Uncle Paul that he would TIVO the Huggies and Pampers diapers commercials and watch them back as pornography and masturbate to them. And Burr tried to say that the joke was too sick to laugh at but ended up laughing as he was scolding Jimmy.

When Anthony did his "I would go as low as nine" or "the right kind of thirteen" or whatever the room would go silent.

Starting the show all cheekily insinuating some spicy management drama went down the night before.
I get they were trying to emulate Stern and stir up interest and it totally worked on them truckers, but man did it happen over and over.

It always dragged on for like an hour of the show and always ended in showing the "drama" was a few spoiled millionaires very upset about having to attend a two hour business meeting and having a 5+ hour workday instead of goofing off for once, or not having full creative control in their obviously subservient role to the company they're broadcasting from.

Whenever I feel like I'm not pulling my load at work, I remember the beginnings (and sometimes all) of these shows.

Danny vs Mars sounded very forced. They low-key ripped a lot of shit from Howard Stern. He did too, but for the amount of clowning on him they did it seems really hypocritical.
