John Adams should be looked upon higher in the USA and the only reason he’s not is because Jefferson and his democracy loving cabal slandered him for having the nerve to deport dirty British “people” and lock up opponents of the government.
It should be noted the only reason Jefferson vehemently opposed these laws wasn’t because of “Democracy” but because they would burn his own ass.
