I remember a few old AM stations that had booming signals. You could pick those stations up with ease, anywhere. WFAN, WCBS, 1010WINS, WABC. Now they all sound like shit, and they fade out if a cloud passes by.

That's kinda because of all our electronics, especially smartphones, polluting the airwaves with interference. The AM radio stations are as powerful as ever, just can't overcome all the local noise.

I haven't been able to receive AM radio at my house since the mid-2000s because of all the computers and mobile devices.

Modulation seems worse now. Might be bias on my part though. You'd figure that advertising earns them less and everything follows from that, but I haven't listened to AM broadcast radio before nana's return since coast to coast. Maybe it's me.

Even if it was 100% guaranteed that Trump was going to do a call in to that station, Nana is about 20th down the list of shows that would get that call.

Anybody comment on the generic buttrock they used for the show? Maybe the funniest part of it. Mark Levin's on WABC as his flagship and actually gets licensed music to play him in. Most of the other hosts do.

Give it a couple weeks and they'll be forcing him to have a permanent music bed like at WAAF and the backslide into hackdom and obscurity will be complete.

Opie seems like the male equivalent of Crazy Pussy. Somewhat batty, a bit cold-blooded or erratic, a wildly different person depending on who he's talking to--but a smokeshow all the same.



Explains why Ant stuck around. Well, that and the fact he knew he'd never get a man who looks like Opie (or like Opie once did, anyhow, Time's a cruel bastard) to stand on the same side of the street as him, not unless he paid very good money. He was too much of a tremulous closet-case either to look up a rentboy or take the emotional risk and the financial hit of keeping a boytoy, though. So he settled for only ever being the business & creative partner of a hot guy, instead of the life & bed partner like he actually craved. Many such cases.

Remember, Fred really believed at one time that he would make a living doing radio or podcasts with nana or ron and fez. He was so sure it would work out that he ruined his own chimney cleaning business and had to lay off one of his own kids.
