I still remember exactly where I was when I saw the Super Bowl trailer for The Matrix. I don't even remember anything else about that day or which SB it was but I remember me and my buddies being "FAWKKKK... we gotta see that!!"

There was buzz on that movie before it came out, being a rube in flyover country of course is always behind. That was hyped and featured a hit soundtrack with all the major hard rock / metal acts at the time. People wanted to see it before it came out, it wasn’t some sleeper surprise, they wouldn’t give it a big budget if that was the case. Fucking pig doesn’t realize his hometown is bumble fuck.

Not to be a contrarian but the Matrix was just OK. The first one. Good gunfights and effects for the time. Never really been into sci-fi and the "philosophising" plot was Plato's Cave for retards. Never got the hype. Heard the other 2 were shit so never bothered. Certainly won't bother with this one. Pat's fat is what I'm getting at.
