Fishburne's gotten kind of hefty in recent years; he's only 3 years older than Keanu Reeves, but Reeves is still in great shape and more freshly trained from making 3 John Wick movies. His obsession with The Matrix of all things is bizarre. At least Back to the Future and Star Wars were very popular properties, and the fans tend to ignore the bad sequels or blame George Lucas. The Matrix was a decent movie but it never achieved the same level of fandom, and it has become the poster child for shitty movie sequels and was goofed on even at the time.

Boi the way, the mockery of those movies feels really fucking quaint now. The Matrix sequels were shitty in that early 2000s bad blockbuster way, i.e. kinda boring, bland and stupid. Compare that to Current Year bad Hollywood flicks, which means incoherent messes filled to the brim with political pandering.
