Sounds far fetched. It's a potentially good premise, but it's at least few years late at this point (like all their commentary since ~2010) and will likely be overwrought and ultimately unsatisfying. They lost the ability to have nuanced jokes and multi-layered storylines and I lost interest.
I stopped paying any attention to the show around season 17, so I can only imagine it's gotten even less funny and more insidiously political since then. God damn, I remember being hyped for a week waiting on the next episode. Watching Wendy get breast implants was a pivotal moment, fast forward to... this? I hope when I lose it someone is kind enough to kill me on the spot. (inb4 "hold still")

I still giggle at the scene of Butters sobbing in a dog costume with a shuriken lodged in his head. Fawking good times

Stan and Kyle from South Park stand next to a pig dressed as Cartman who is sitting in a broken adirondack chair and holding a sign that says 'that's wild'.
