There are also mars rocks on earth. There should also be plenty of mercury rocks on earth (but none 100% confirmed, just suspected). Big enough impacts can launch rocks into transfer orbits. These impacts happen. Look how cratered the moon is.

There's no single thing. The several missions were well enough documented at the time, USA is an open democracy with free press (relatively speaking), there's been no actual evidence or even serious accusations that the program was somehow faked.

You can take almost any interesting enough event and find plenty of people asking questions, making technical claims and coming up with all kinds of circumstantial evidence for different kinds of often contradictory conspiracies. In any big event there are thousands and thousands of things going on. Not everything is documented or public, details are difficult to verify one way or another, people act weird, co-incidences happen. It is impossible to imagine a world without moon hoax conspiracies still going on.

There's also people who believe the earth is flat.

The moon hoax conspiracy is not quite as stupid, but I see no reason to take it seriously. If there was something to it, surely after 50 years after the landings we'd have something more concrete than bad youtube documentaries.

The documentary brought up some very interesting notes during the Apollo program. This one for instance detailing the haphazard planning and grueling standards for workers to meet unrealistic deadlines.

Regarding the hidden figures movie, I experienced something (in real life) disturbing and propaganda revealing about that film but not sure where to post about it. It seems too big just to reach this forum, but also too small for mainstream. I dunno I'll make a thread soon.

Moon landing hoax stuff is one of those things that is heavily censored on the internet. Like 9/11 research, holohoax, Bin Laden, and so on. In certain countries, even Canada, you cannot host holohoax denial on your site anymore as it is against the law.

They really built apollo, it really flew, it's fuel capacity was enough to reach the moon, it's thrust to weight ratio shows it was full of fuel at launch, so if they actually built and flew the goddamn thing (which they did) then why wouldn't they just go to the moon?

It is trying to debunk decades of propaganda that was bombarded into everyone from an early age until their deaths. Every day there is some movie, game, book, comic, show, or news footage about space travel and moon landings. Celebrities buying tickets for Mars missions. Moon landing anniversaries. Documentaries. And so on. Any argument proving the moon landing was a hoax is going to have to be substantial.
