They are not punk by any means. Looking at it that way, I see where you are coming from view wise. You gotta listen to more music in that genre. I think you will have a different view. Listen to real punk and metal
nice horrendously gay spikesYou mean my good friend Lars Ulrich? We were just chatting on Wednesday!

I hate how he carries himself like he's a wise, brilliant expert on all topics. He always leaves out the part about blowing his first fortune on bad investments and pussy, or how he had to ponce around like a gay Jewish hairdresser in the 80s. His gay "moneybags" persona is the kike-i-est thing I've ever seen.I go back and forth on how I feel about Chiam Witz. On one hand he’s a walking stereotype, always looking to Jew the fans out of money and some kind of grift. He’s a sexual degenerate and should probably be thrown out of a helicopter for Nickel and dimming his fans the way he does. On the other hand most of his fans are boomers or Gen X borderline boomers, so fuck them.
So you are just talking out of your ass then, gotchaI'm just not laying the elitist vibe on thick enough. My point in this thread is that metallica is entry level slop and arguing about lars as if they deserve some god tier drummer is middle school shit. Love me some metal.
True that's like making a Kelsey Grammer Can't Walk" compilation of just coo s of him falling downdon't care. You could make compliations of any musician fucking up, especially if they're as documented as metallica. fact is lars is more than capable of keeping up the rythm and feel of mettallica's catchy pop tunes, and throwing a fit about him is just level 1 tryhard shit
Here's a question: What would be your "Supergroup" of crap musicians?I know that any official Metallica VHS had heavy overdubbing. I remember Nikki Six of all people pointing it out back in the day. I do think that Lars probably did put some effort in for a while and was probably a stable drummer until the late 90s. I could be wrong though and maybe he was total shit from start to finish but I have seen bootlegs where he is totally competent.
I want to make a poor attempt at humor and just say Metallica but James Hetfield and Robert Trujillo are great. Here's a question: What would be your "Supergroup" of crap musicians?
Like, mediocre players from successful bands. Like Lars on Drums, Sid from Sex Pistols on bass etc. They were passable in other bands but together just make fucked up noise.
If they can get Cave to write the songs, they'll still make great music.I want to make a poor attempt at humor and just say Metallica but James Hetfield and Robert Trujillo are great.
Vocals: Anthony Keidis
Guitar: Nick Cave (see Grinderman)
Guitar: Fred Durst
Bass: Fieldy
Drums: Lars Ulrich
it's true though. "lars is the worst everrr" is one of those babies first music opinions parroted by the same midwits who think ringo couldn't play either
Great tits. The one I can’t stand is slander against Meg White.
The primordial and elementary sound she stuck to on purpose was the entire point of The White Stripes project, and was the feel Jack chose and was going for.
It doesn’t mean it’s all Meg could do or that she had no capability for more and better. And even if she is or was so limited, it suited the songs & lives of the band she was in. Plus, she always was apathetic about technical rudiments, and thought music nerds & anoraks were boring creeps because she’s got some interiority. Meg’s a star is what I’m saying.
He was, uh, a "special case". Listen to "Belsen Was A Gas", that was probably the very best he ever sounded, which isn't saying very much. Good tune, though. But his bass LOL..."bonk-bonk-bonk-bonk".Sid from Sex Pistols on bass
