The church near me (originally built 1413 -approx) actually rang the bells kinda quietly around 10am this morning, they (for years) rang the bells loudly at 9:30am, I have been thinking about going to mass - I'm not a religious literalist guy, but I like community, & there is some allegorical wisdom in old texts... I guess it all depends on who's conveying it

Where I'm from, the only people who get preferential treatment are the pensioners. We have to tolerate mass immigration because they want cheap services and healthcare. House prices will never fall, because they don't want the house that they bought for £4000 to drop below £500,000 in value. Young families receive no investment and many will never get the state pension their parents receive, because we have to pay for the triple lock and a healthcare system that prioritises the elderly and dying above the future of our country.
The immigrants and losers (read: disenfranchised young adults) are merely symptoms.
I'm glad I bought a house and started a family when I did. In another 10 years buying a house will be impossible. In 25 years the paradigm shift will complete and home ownership will no longer be expected.
