I should tell you to try harder. Murder and rape have always been frowned upon, but "porn" was no problemo. Just look at all the naked statues (made by and for christians nonetheless), or the massive amount of smut written from the Victorian era. It stands to reason that if this much survived from those past times, it must have been everywhere back then. You know they even found what you would call "porn" written in pre-historic caves? It's a part of human expression, no wonder it was protected as free speech.
