Again, no inside info, but that would seem to be the case. Using some basic logic here, there's probably a reason why quasi would only domesticate one of the debts. Or not? Who knows.

I wonder if Quasi would do this to ensure Patrick can't file a motion to have both debts treated the same or something like that. Then quasi would be able to drag Patrick through 2 entire rounds of legal anus inspections and garnishments. That would be pretty funny.

I’m no legal-eagle, but that’s just good lawyering on Quasi’s part.

It’s almost like our Indian Overlord is doing this for shits and giggles. Not the money.

But what do I know?

on the WI front my understanding is that the next step Could be getting the clerk to issue a writ of execution. No hearing before the judge is necessary I believe. I don't know if the clerk issuing it would show up on the event activity list.

Then take the writ to the sheriff's office?

this is probably all backed up because of covid eviction moratorium shit on top of courts being backed up in general.

the suspense is killing me

this search lists all the Foreign Judgements domesticated in Milwaukee during 2022, maybe you draw make some inference from their calendar of events but they're all "Filed only" except one so I dunno

edit: can't directly link the search results page but you can filter by Milwaukee + case type FJ + range 0 to 99999
Fucking christ that's bleak. Snail's-pace faggot courts. In that one exception you mention it was a case filed in error in mid-November, still took the judge until Jan 31 to close it. Not a single foreign judgement filed in 2021 or 2022 has been addressed yet whatsoever and are still sitting as "filed only" like Pat's. Only just 3 judgements from 2020 have had hearings so far.

The most recent FJ action by the court was Milwaukee County Case Number 2020FJ000017 MIDWEST GAMING & ENTERTAINMENT, LLC D/B/A RIVERS CASINO vs. STEVEN PUSCHING et al., over a guy who with a $67,600 debt to a casino who are trying to collect. They filed on May 8 2020 and just had their hearing on Jan 24 2023. The conclusion of the hearing was:

If indeed in for the long haul on this collection I'd throw some money in if Quasi had a public BTC address, and stuff like another Christmas Carnage could bring in some shekels if necessary. The yearly interest is nice but with Pat sipping milkshakes in Arizona right now or wherever he is I still hope to see him forced into the courtroom (or jail) sooner than later. I knew the court backup would be bad but not this bad.

I wanted to look further into the Milwaukee County Circuit Court's activity and the COVID backlog and just spent about 40 mins scrolling through all Foreign Judgements domesticated in Milwaukee since 2018. Some interesting stuff in there; main takeaways (note: am not a lawyer):

- The Good News (skip this if you only care about Pat): The court website is horrifically disorganized and the cases statuses mean nothing -- Tons of active "Filed Only" cases have indeed had hearings and/or been satisfied. Within the COVID backlog of unheard, open cases, a fair number of "active - filed-only" judgements have long been fully satisfied by the debtor (by their free will) but legally remain open due to lack of action by the court. There's debtors who paid off their judgement debts in full over 3 years ago but still have the active case open as no judge has looked at it yet to formally close it. This is irrelevant to Pat's case as he won't pay his debt willingly out of court, just something for brothermen to be aware of when trying to predict when Pat's case will be looked at and his exam scheduled/wages garnished.
  • Example: Judgement filed 2-18-2022, fully satisfied by the debtor in July 2022. Since then the case has undergone 2 judicial transfers (now on its 3rd) but still hasn't been looked at by any judge to be formally closed+dismissed, and thus remains active.

- The Bad News: They are still only hearing mostly 2019 cases right now; <5 cases filed after 01/01/2021 have had any hearings or action taken, all involving either a federal department or state government vs. a debtor (except for one filed by Bank of America). Not a single FJ otherwise from 2021 or 2022 has had a hearing yet or has even been looked at by a clerk or judge, and only a couple from 2020 and late-2019 (note: there are 45-55 FJs in Milwaukee every year). Example below of what most 2019 cases look like (#2019FJ000055, 2019FJ000010).

- The Milwaukee County Circuit Court is really, really fond of judicial transfers. Essentially every case within the COVID backlog has had the court official changed 2-3 times without ever being looked at by any of them.

- All satisfied judgements 2018-2022 (none in 2023) were paid out of court on the debtor's free will; none with an unwilling/incapable/obstructive debtor have been satisfied (as almost none have had hearings for any court action to be considered).

- In all cases that debtors did not show up to Zoom court meetings or otherwise ignored the court contacting them, the court's reaction was to kick the can down the line and just reschedule the hearing without punishment (on repeat).

- A majority of FJs are between two companies, but for those involving individual citizens as debtors, 95% of them are black people (with ridiculous names) not paying back their loans or caught running scams.

Aside from Pat's case, other individual-citizen debtors named in FJs filed in Jan-Feb 2023 include a Peaches Drummond, Chela Regina Andrews, Shonda Gregory, and Jaqueline Claymon; only other debtors are a couple white guys.

Honest Prediction: It is likely going to be 4-4.5 years (give or take 6 months) until the Cloudflare judgement is addressed and anything happens. However, as many have said, the 10% annual interest is just going to continue to add up. With Pat ignoring the judgement, the court backlog being this long only makes things significantly worse for him. It does really sting for us on the edge of our seats here, though, but payday will come eventually. Quasi's a true madman for sticking to his guns.

what's not clear to me is if Quasi's lawyer even requested a hearing at all, because it's not a given that they want/need one (yet) since in WI a writ of execution can be issued by the clerk. And it might be up to Fatrick to ask for a hearing before the judge to argue for HIS debtor rights, maybe?

🤔

815.02  Judgments, enforced by execution. A judgment which requires the payment of money or the delivery of property may be enforced in those respects by execution. Where it requires the performance of any other act a certified copy of the judgment may be served upon the party, person or officer who is required to obey the same, and if he or she refuse he or she may be punished for contempt, and his or her obedience enforced.

815.03  Executions, kinds. There are 3 kinds of executions: one against the property of the judgment debtor, another against the judgment debtor's person, and the 3rd for the delivery of property, or such delivery with damages for withholding the same. They are the process of the court, and shall be as prescribed by s. 815.05.

Is any further court action needed to enforce the debt?
It's a settled matter in the courts that fatrick owes money so surely debt recovery can be initiated.

Season 5 Dan the Bounty Hunter arc would be glorious

Maybe quasi is going the route he is to get the debtor examination, blowing the whole tomlinson finances and sfwa connections wide open and nuking the entire planet's ribs from orbit
