He bitches about the price of pistachios but then brags about the guitars “he” (!) bought

Back in the reddit days he was bragging about buying knockoff versions of a lot of famous guitars from a website that got them from China. I would imagine a lot of these are borderline worthless. However, if/when Joe eventually sells these I guarantee he will pass them off as genuine and not knockoffs hoping the buyer won't notice. He's a piece of shit so this seems like a likely scenario to me.
Do the knockoffs fake the badges and serial numbers too? Or are they just no name copies?

I can understand some of his guitars being needed for his cover band stuff like the explores for the Edge, couple fenders / Les pauls etc but for a guy that has barely written any original music this is just stupid and a waste.
Like most amateur guitar hobbyists, Joe didn't have the work ethic or gumption to master the craft, or make even a modest living at it, so he created a little music playroom for himself, where he could retreat back into his land of make-believe and pretend to be Guitarzan. The guitar wall is there to impress people, and demonstrate to everyone how much guitars mean to him. The guitars on the wall, the electronic drum kit, the keyboard, the "studio equipment", the little guitar-playing stool...he's the poster boy for amateur guitar failures everywhere. I know an amateur guitar hobbyist who has a fucking ukulele on his wall, which is even gayer than a banjo.

Diamond Joe Cumia

you fools don’t understand, those guitars are a great investment. Plus, he has a bitchin selection when on the road/recording.

Joe really does not really see the big picture. When Anthony dies and Missy got her taste, Joe will be left with podcasting equipment, Sopranos memorabilia , and an egg

Housing, Food, Medical and Dental care, etc. but his guitars are more important

i would be willing to bet Joe had Anthony buy a Fender Custom Shop for his birthday one year.

Do you think Joe mentors the younger musicians, or do they run the other way when he is around?

im sure people at every gig knows he played with BOC, because he told them

It’s just funny he’s got all that invested in guitars, equipment, amps, pedal boards, etc and he not only plays OTHER peoples music, he’s playing shit like the moose lodge and TGI Fridays before they all close but sees himself as a “professional” musician that makes a living from it. Ive known plenty of people that would have regular good paying jobs and on the weekends for fun would play bars or just have people over to play for fun but not Joe. He felt that was his calling and refused to get any kind of real job and leech from his brother and LARP as some kind of professional musician.

He's been at it for forty years, and has made so little impact on the local scene he has to play along with an iPad. Nary a friend in the world. No one to regularly jam with, no semi-real gigs, no reputation, nothing. It took real effort to fail that spectacularly.

And you suck at guitar hero more than you suck at guitar. I’ll even bet on your stupidity, I can go to reverb or guitar center and find plenty of guitars around that range.

Ok, so do it. Show us all Gibson Les Paul Classics and American Fender Stratocasters for the prices you listed. Brand new guitars. Let's go.

You don't even know? Weren't you the one saying Joe's were definitely fake?

Yes, they do fake the badges and serial numbers. They are getting pretty good at it too. If I could wind the clock back to be honest I wouldn't have splashed out that sort of cash for mine. Some of the chinese knockoffs are getting so good it may be worth taking a dabble and changing out some shit on them and you would probably end up with something quite close to the 'real' thing. A lot of the time some of this guitar shit is based on ego. I'm guilty of that too. I play my gibson epiphone les paul far more that the real gibson

100%.

A "Chibson" is going to come with dogshit parts. You know this. So you go into it knowing you're gonna replace the tuners, pickups, pots, wiring, the whole thing. You paid $250 and put another $300 in for a very decent and very playable guitar, regardless of what the headstock says.

My favorite guitar at the moment is a knockoff ESP Snakebyte, all hardware replaced, real EMGs installed, locking tuners, and properly setup. I have a Chibson Explorer I did the same with, every part and wire replaced. Nice flame maple top. Sure there's a few flaws but I don't give a shit. It was $250.

This is why everyone thinks you’re an asshole. Reread the conversation if you’re just too stupid. Then explain how I’d buy a 1979 Les Paul “brand new” you’re either a real moron or just like to make stupid arguments.
You don't even know? Weren't you the one saying Joe's were definitely fake?
You’re such a fucking imbecile, joe is the reason i assumed his are knock offs. He talked about buying them several times. Even sent money to China for guitars that never got delivered.

I had 3 basses at one time. Came to the realization I was throwing away money and should practice more. It can get really addictive as far as buying stuff that won’t be used.

Shit, any type of music instrument classifieds will have great deals. Almost not worth buying new. Can buy a used and replace everything, will probably even out for the price you would have paid buying new

9/10 any used guitar/bass (not sure how drums work), are going to have a lot of stuff replaced. And it is usually what everyone else did (for the tone)

I'm not the one telling people they can find Gibson Les Pauls for $700-$800. American Strats for how much? $200-$300?

Who's "really fucking stupid"?

It's you, dude.
Look on reverb you asshole. I just saw 20 of them between $$600 and $900 with 1 search. You really are easy to hate, you are aggressively stupid.
