Favorite gun I ever shot was a replica Sharps 50 buffalo rifle. I was probably 10 or so at the time, and it got me hooked on long range shooting. The gun is so heavy there wasn’t much recoil but talk about a hair trigger. Just think about pulling it and it’ll go off.
Badass. Would love to get into black powder firearms. Thanks for sharing.

They are pretty cool. The bullet goes slow enough that if you stand behind the shooter you can faintly see it go down range. Flintlocks and percussion cap muskets take some getting used too because of the delay between you pulling the trigger and it actually going off.

I respect peoples rights to buy and own a gun. But I'd never do it. I've had bad mornings. I think this might be a Doug Stanhope. But its also why I don't own a car.

That’s awesome. They’re totally illegal here which is why we shoot 3D printed ones that we destroy at the end of the range trip.
That sucks y’all can’t own one. It’s kinda interesting how suppressors are viewed around the world. It parts of Europe you can just go to a store and buy one like anything else. I had about a six month wait for my stamp to get approved. How well do the 3D printed ones do?

Sound wise they’re great and for .22 they’re probably a better option than metal. For centerfire they have to be quite large to survive the pressure which is shit.
