WWAW the Child’s Play films? I haven’t seen the tv series. Is it worth checking out?

I love the show, really fun. Third season premieres today, reviews are saying it's the best one yet and now Chucky is in the white house. What's great about the show is that everything that has happened in the franchise actually matters.

I haven't seen Benny's Video in 15 years or so but the kill scene really unnerved me. Stayed with me for a really long time.

I agree. It's like you're actually watching a kid kill someone for no reason. I think the way he frantically rushes around to reload the bolt gun and keep shooting her is what does it.

Yeah, as I said I haven't seen it in 15 years or so but I can remember the entire scene perfectly. I saw movies last week that I remember absolutely nothing about.

Also "the Night House" is a good modern horror film

There were a few moments in Night House that actually made me jump. Almost on par with the nurse scene in Exorcist III

At this point I feel like I kind of has watched the horror movies that are worth watching. I don't know, I just with there was more to see, I can't remember the last time I was recommended something I hadn't seen. And pretty much all new horror movies are awful so there are never any new great surprises.

Anyway, StageFright had a great score.

I like the first two and Bride of Chucky Rules. 3 and Seed are OK. I watched the first season of the TV series and it blows honestly. It feels like CW show and a lot of it is focused on the main character and his gay relationship. Not enough Chucky kills to make it worth watching.

WWAWD Masters of Horror series? I think the horror genre plays well with the one-offs. Not everything needs to be a full-blown "movie"

I've been doing the same thing. I'm watching the Exorcist sequels (Only seen the original) before seeing Believer this weekend. Two was bad in quite a fascinating way.

First is still my favorite so far, but 3 was pretty good. Are Beginning and Dominion even worth watching?

Beginning is reprehensibly bad. It's gory and stupid and cheap. It's not the worst movie I ever saw but calling that a part of the Exorcist series is an insult. They raped Paul Schrader's Dominion to make it. Dominion is much better. It's not 1 or 3 but it's relatively quiet and classy and deliberate. I think it's underrated and takes a different approach to any of the sequels while feeling like it belongs with the original 3. Worth a watch. You might not dig its slow and pondering approach to evil but I liked it.

I was a little too old to get into these but I would have probably loved them as a kid.

It's a shitty movie and "the best jump-scare of all time" fucking sucks. Patrick Ewing and Fabio make the film.

That 2004 Dawn of the Dead was actually a pretty good remake.

28 days later is also a good one.

I don't know if anyone here watched it but there was an Exorcist TV show a couple of years back. No one watched it but it was awesome. Got two seasons.
