Movies aside, don't forget to load your Ghost to Ghost playlist when you're trucking, fellas.

One of my favorites is Beauty Rest. The beginning of that episode when she's seething over her roommate is fawking hilarious.

WWAW the Child’s Play films? I haven’t seen the tv series. Is it worth checking out?
I liked the first movie. I didn't think the reboot with Aubrey Plaza and the doll having smart features was bad either.

I watched this for the first time last year. I'm glad I did, because a few times before I tried watching it and thought the red headed fag was insufferable, but he actually rules and is perfect for the part. I'll probably watch it again this year.

One of the best slow burner movies I've seen if I'm being completely fawking honest with ya.
It's a really good movie with two great performances, but I didn't find it at all frightening.

Oct 3: Child’s Play (2019)

Due to the conversations about this movie in this thread - and more importantly it’s 90 minute run time - I threw this on last night.

Man, time truly is a motherfucker. This is from 4 years ago? Aubrey Plaza plays a Mom and looks like one? Our lives are fleeting, brothermen. Let us not waste them.

I missed the supernatural element of the original. There was a lot more “there” in the OG. The body horror of a man trapped in the body of a doll - he has no dick! The supernatural evil forces underlying the entire scenario added a satanic and ominous feel, but most importantly, the doll didn’t just want to kill everyone. The killer wanted to possess the body of the kid in some kind of ritual (going off memory here).

In the new version, we have some commentary on the Internet of Things but that’s about it beyond a basic technology run amok premise. Maybe if they had Chucky do a zany tik tok dance M3gan wouldn’t have eaten their lunches 2-3 years later.

Chucky’s personality really sells the main franchise too. There’s a reason for that longevity.

I don’t mind the premise of the new one as it’s just a franchise. Like your M3gan comparison.

I like the idea of the AI just sort of learning to kill. Like the scene where Andy and his friends are watching a horror movie and laughing. AI is programmed to entertain Andy and he is laughing at this film. Ok, maybe it should try to cut up this fat kid in front of him. He’ll laugh at that too.

For the record, the original The Omen was my one of my favourite horror movies and a lot of people seem to have skipped it. Worth watching the whole god awful sequels for great moments like this though

I like The Omen 2 as well. The scariest thing in that franchise was the fact that his uncle's wife was a believer and basically started a family with him just to be close to Damian. It just creeps me out.
