Yes. This is exactly the problem and its sort of what we see with Ant. Consuming content like this obviously radicalizes you. You watch videos of fringe Republicans or blacks saying (insert group) is actively committing a genocide on you. What conclusion do you draw from that? Well for people slightly less crazy like Ant the answer is to “inform” people aka tweet every black crime story you see. Nana wants all blacks killed but wouldn’t do it himself. However someone way crazier would take this into their own hands and eliminate blacks regardless of how innocent they are. And of course this type of radicalization can take minor innocuous forms, think people like Pat who genuinely believe everyone who voted for Trump is a nazi or adjacent.

It’s a product of a lot of things. The internet only gives you one perspective and it’s usually the extreme one. If you see and engage with a certain content you’ll only see that. The second is a skewed perception of reality. Instead of walking outside and seeing all types of blacks who exist you only see one online and thus it becomes your reality: Gang banging white baby killers. The third is that it is INSANELY easy to bait people with fear. It’s how news channels get people watching 24/7. Convince them that something dire enough is happening to keep them engaged, such as the bad guys trying to kill your people.
Yeah I notice people like Pat always say if there’s any “lone wolf white shooter” it’s always right to “they must be some brain washed Fox News viewer!” Like there isn’t crazy people on both sides. Let’s not forget that Bernie Sanders guy who shot up a baseball field of Congress members - he asked one question and it was what field the republicans were playing on and he opened fire. Now with cell phones people are always within arms reach of looking up things to get upset about and will scroll for hours only to get more and more radicalized.

Im a couple years younger than Pat and I just see younger people I work with and around town (I live near a pretty big college) that just scroll all day through tik Tok videos because that’s how people pass the time. They’re called “influencers” for a reason.

As I've sat about this and reflected, we all agree here that this chick was insane.

The question is why let the insane person pretend to be a different gender? How was that a good decision?

Also this was more a 'journal' than a 'manifesto' and it makes me wonder if there's a real manifesto that hasn't been shown to us.

…Isn’t the better question how we let an insane person get a gun? Again letting her believe she was a different gender is rather low on the crazy list here.

They purchased it legally, right? I can’t remember - so many of these blend together. Whoever is doing the background checks that are required really need to be looked into - I don’t have a problem with guns since the majority of legal gun owners are responsible but you do simple social media searches on these people and there’s plenty of red flags and obviously some doctor has diagnosed them with mental illness I assume?

Hot tip, all people who wish they were a different gender are insane

Probably, because that’s how 99% of these mass shooters get their weapons.

I am very pro 2nd Amendment but there are obvious problems. Red flag laws could be put in place if it weren’t in the bill of rights. The fact that it is means trying to take away guns from an actual homocidal maniac is a violation of rights which comes before potentially saving a dozen peoples lives.

I live in Florida so i’ll use this state as an example. If I want to go purchase a firearm I don’t need a concealed carry or anything. I just sign the papers, pay, and have to wait 3 days. If I want to skip the waiting period all I have to do is go to a gun show and show them my CC permit and they’d give it to me right there. Now to be fair, if I go to a gun store they give me a background check. If it’s found I have a mental illness, or am a felon, or addicted to drugs, or an illegal, or a handful of other things they will deny my purchase. However, thats why you have a friend with a concealed carry who can go to the gunshow, buy it same day, then just sell it to you.

The problem like everything else in the US isn’t so much a lack of laws, although that contributes, but loopholes. Like look at the guy who shot up the places in Maine. Legal gun owner, former veteran with PTSD, debilitating mental health, police reports about all this, and no one did shit about him. It makes you completely understand the conspiracy about 3 letter agencies making these guys as false flags because the only other explanation is complete incompetency .

That’s another part of it - so many of these shooters were already known to be an issue to law enforcement / police record / multiple red flags then it’s a big surprise when they do something. Especially now with social media you can do some looking around and these types will TELL YOU they’re nuts and should be on a list. But somehow they just fall through - go nuts - and it’s same old song and dance. Plus it’s clear you’ve got politicians that love to use “never let a crisis go to waste” to use dead kids to get THEMSELVES attention to help whatever future campaign / party / elections when they’re all talk on both sides. We’ve had major school shootings since Clinton and we’re pretty much still at the same place.

I think it was Jessie Ventura who said the majority of politics is just like pro wrestling - you got people from different parties yelling / complaining / insulting each other in front of the cameras / press then at night all go out together to fancy dinners together at expensive restaurants and laugh about it all. Can’t break kayfabe!

Depends what you describe as a "mass shooting"... if you're talking these type of school shooter, mall shooting, Christchurch NZ "terror" style attacks, sure. But when you include a shooting of 2-3 or people, the vast majority are done with handguns and a significant portion are not legally obtained (e.g. Chicago). :image_9253:

Circled home with a heart in their manifesto.

VERY MANLY BEHAVIOR. I know lots of men that use hearts as circles when they write! Who doesn't?

The social media BS is already happening in NY / NJ. Where do you live? Go try to buy a handgun if you're in NY/NJ/CA. https://www.npr.org/2022/07/08/1110477445/gun-applicants-social-media-accounts-new-york

Once again it’s about controlling people through fear. People constantly cry about Dems wanting to take away our guns and it’s bullshit everytime. Almost all of the major gun legislation we’ve ever seen passed was done by Reagan and Trump, aka literally the Conservatives messiahs. And the only reason the Reagan one passed was because he was almost killed…and niggers. So that tells you where their priorities lie. We have an insane amount of gun violence and nothing gets done, but shoot at the President and in a second laws start changing.

Think about it like this. The repeal of Roe v Wade sort of handicapped Republicans in terms of campaigning. Every 4 years they could get on the trail and make abortion access a huge issue and how only THEY can do something to stop it. Well now they stopped it. And now every single choice voter who was voting to end abortion now either has to find a new issue to vote for or to stop voting all together. It’s the same thing with Democrats and guns. If they repealed the Second Amendment they would alienate the large portion of voters who specifically vote D hoping for gun rights to be restricted. They have a vested interest to not handicap themselves like that.

Well it depends what you mean by “legally”. The way the nigs get guns into these “Safe gun free” cities is simply by crossing state borders (or even just going outside the city lines), purchasing the gun legally, then bringing the gun back over state lines. Sure, bringing the firearm to another state and selling it to someone else then makes it illegal. But they technically still got access to the gun legally.

As to how you prevent that? Theres literally no way without banning all guns (which is impossible and i dont agree with anyway.) or to institute a police state along state borders to make sure people aren’t trafficking firearms, which i also don’t agree with.

Yeah they like to pick and choose what they label as mass shooting. You see multiple people shot overnight in Philly pretty ofte at one location but I guess when they don’t have any description of the shooter they don’t call it a mass shooting. Maybe that’s the deciding factor?

I'm not sure it's happening as you describe, do you have any metrics on felons vs legal gun carrier murders in the US? The way I used to see it back in the day, is one guy who wasn't a felon would go to a friendly state and bring back a shitload of guns and deal them like they're any other drug.
