I didn't see if she had a ring and I know he doesn't wear one. He has definitely used both terms.

My guess is he's someone who is clingy and obsessive. He used to try to tell me stories about his ex and I would always make it obvious I didn't want to hear it. He eventually found common ground with talking to me about baseball, hockey, videogames and 90s stuff but apparently just uses our conversations and topics of discussion in their relationship.

That'd bother me too. I wouldn't care if my actual friends' wives/gfs said that, but a work acquaintance it would be weird. My buddies are all loudmouthed obnoxious fucks. I'm the only quiet-ish one. If we're ever out for dinner or something I always get uncomfortable with the volume they're just bullshitting with me at. It's not even personal stuff, it's just why the fuck do the surrounding tables need to hear what we're talking about? I like strangers knowing as little about me as possible.

My one buddy (dumbest guy I know, but also the funniest) one time in a crowded as fuck Chinese buffet was basically yelling and looking around to see who was hearing him, it was the gayest thing I've ever seen. He was talking about his fucking slow pitch softball league like he was an MLB player. He's a big, stupid, out of shape galoot with a disproportionate gut for a guy who doesn't drink. He wasn't fooling anyone, he just sounded like a retard. I was embarrassed for both of us so I just sat there looking at my plate ignoring him and he didn't care because he just wanted the Chinese slave bitches to hear him and be impressed. With the fact that he's a fat guy who plays softball with a bunch of other fat, old, unathletic dumbasses.

I get the same way. I can be a loud, obnoxious and vile person, but I really prefer not to act out around civilians. Major turn off and disruptor of other patrons outings or w/e the fuck you're doing.
