One of the few comics I've read, and it reads like a better Mickey Spillane.

Ennis is a pretty great writer when he's motivated, for a cocked up Mick.

Honestly I think I like his Hitman best, just because it's so self contained. He keeps coming back to Punisher and I'm afraid he's going to finally fuck a story up. His run was amazingly consistent on Frank.

Yes it pushes boundaries but it's a genuine story about three dimensional people, and manages to have both a happy ending and a bittersweet ending at the same time.
