Oasis is a perfect counter example though. Liam didn’t write the words but every ALBUM song is superior with him singing it. Noel can pull it off live, but on the albums there should only have been one song they let Noel sing on and that’s Acquiesce.
Liam can literally pull off the entire emotional spectrum including (IMO) the hardest type of lyrics, outright silly ones.
Listen to Noel sing “the sink is full of fishes, she’s got dirty dishes on the brain” on the unplugged album and then compare it to when Liam does it On the album. Liam makes it playful and funny while still not turning the song into a joke. He’s an all-time frontman IMO.
