Done in the oven? If you have the space for it you might consider looking into getting a cheap little electric smoker, this ~$200 one is super cheap and works just fine, in some senses they can be easier than a traditional smoker since your heat source is constant and doesn't need to be checked as often as long as you can get a general ambient temp of the inside of the smoker [URL]https://www.masterbuilt.com/products/masterbuilt-30-inch-analog-electric-smoker[/URL]

Yeah, i made them in the oven, bbq culture is not as big over here as it is in some parts of the US.

much like a whole lot of you, I do literally all my eating in front of a screen which makes any thing like ribs a "no-no" because- well, eww.- who wants to clean up sauce on a keyboard

Just throw it all in a blender and drink it with a straw?

No mess, have to remove the bones first though, so there's a little work involved.
