Then they had a big showdown, which Beecher won when he knocked Vern out and took a shit in his mouth. Then Vern's buddy Keller came to Oz, and pretended to be a fag who fell in love with Beecher. But it was all a ruse, and they broke Beecher's arms and legs. But it turned out that Keller really was a fag who loved Beecher after all. They just don't write shows like this anymore, and we as a culture are poorer for it.

The Aryan guy getting kicked out of the nazis because the dentist gave him nigger gums, and said Aryan then trying to remove them, was hilarious. As was the guy that gets a batch of pot brownies in the prison and eats too much and trips out. Then there was the one where Oz becomes an immigration detention center and they get a load of gooks in that they don't know what to do with. I love it but it is a very dumb show.

The ghetto gums storyline was one of the most creative moments on the show. That character Robson also had his penis bitten off and he kept losing body parts in Oz. His ending is one of the darkest ones on the entire show. He admits in therapy that he was a child rape victim and joined gangs to feel tough and now he has AIDS after being raped and is never going to leave Oz.

The chinks being thrown into Oz was hilarious. The governor just chucks a bunch of political refugees into the place with the most violence psychotic rapists and murders like it was nothing. They throw them into a prison that just had a deadly violent riot two yeas ago. It was a mockery of all the faggy immigration storylines on network television shows where the immigrants come to America and immediately start living in mansions and driving sports cars.

Regardless of the ridiculousness and gayness of the show I hated how they obviously didn’t know what the fuck to do with some characters, or expected the actors to play them forever. Adibisi dies unexpectedly. Saïd feels the demon of Adibisi in him until some random fucker kills him, then the murderer gets made into a character? Beecher gets out of prison but fucks it up in a matter of days. They kill off Warden Glen for 0 reason in the second to last episode. They kill Augustus Hill for no fucking reason. They make Alvarez gay in the last episode for no reason. They make Keller kill himself for no reason. They kill off Omar, one of the best characters introduced towards the end, for no reason.

They really just said fuck it at the end.

Killing characters was mocking television shows that would kill everyone. Oz was way ahead of Game of Thrones when it came to killing every other character for shock value. The deaths in Oz were always hilarious. Like throwing the toaster in the bathtub. Or burying the dude behind the kitchen walls only for him to survive a gas explosion. Poisoning a guy with AIDS using a hairbrush. Some of the deaths are so absurd they must have had a ton of fun writing them and submitting it to the HBO execs.

Yeah the show was always meant to be absurd and goofy. In the end they ramped it up so that everyone got the joke.

They would do those little flashbacks where you'd see the crimes they committed to end up in Oz, and some of them were just incredibly brutal. A baby crying while its mother is raped, then stabbed in the heart by a guy who videotapes it, another baby tossed in a rat-filled dumpster, a girl being beaten with a brick and raped in a playground, they were just so hilariously vicious (and low budget).
