Unless you're looking to get in on the ground floor gentrifying a ghetto area it's pretty much over for homeowning for a ham and egger like me. Whenever I finally give up on life I'm just going to buy 40 acres with a lot of trees and a river or a decent creek running through it. I'll probably live on canned food for a year before I kill myself.
I did this, but instead of the suicide part I bought some conex boxes and a welder and built an off-grid compound a vacation home.

Homeownership is way overrated. I "own" a home and am a virtual slave to it. I owe the kikes aka the banks indefinitely, a few missed payments and I'm out on the streets, equity be damned!
You don't even own the home. The government owns the land and you pay rent in the form of a tax. They are allowed to enter your property at any time to reassess its value and reappraise your entire house and home. They can just arbitrarily raise the value on your home even if you've done zero improvements. They collude with real estate agencies to artificially drive up property values in areas where they want to raise taxes.

If they need to raise money for something like a new school, NFL stadium, grants, and whatever. They just add in more property taxes on everyone. But here's the best part. Yankee Stadium was built on publicly owned land.....and is not taxed. They pay zero taxes on it. Ed Koch the former NYC mayor and rat faced kike gave the owners of Madison Square Garden a permanent agreement for zero taxes ever.

Oh, they already did reappraise me and my taxes doubled from last year because the values in the area skyrocketed. They are building high end apartments and shopping centers around here like mad.

Traffic is getting almost as bad as the urban area I left. You’d think with all these new buildings our taxes would go down because there’s more revenue being generated, but nope.

I say I would like to sell, but logistically right now for me it would be a big headache. So instead I’ll appeal the increase and just deal with the issue. I’ll probably sell writhin the next few years if they don’t tank the market by then.

Let's not forget that big real estate developers get taxpayer-backed TIF loans to build their large ugly apartment complexes and shitty subdivisions while independent investors have to luck out and inherit a property or save for half a lifetime to make the 25% down payment on an investment property.
