I agree they were right to be upset, it was already tough getting a sitcom showing a black family -with the dad being a good father figure - on tv. Urkel wasn’t supposed to take off and they made the whole show about the nerdy black kid pretending to be white was already enough (and done by fresh Prince) but to throw him in a dress to play a woman is dangerously close to black face shows. Urkel had too much fun “playing” a girl
