I'm looking forward to stlaker 2. Been playing Minecraft for like 3 months now though so I think I'm actually an autist or something
The first stlaker was really good after the modders got hold of it and made night vision actually work properly. There was a mod that allowed you to throw artifacts down and they'd turn into the anomaly associated with them - sometimes the game would crash but it was hilarious to throw a vortex down in the path of all those dogs that rush you early in the game. Thirty dogs just getting sucked up and smashed in unison made me laugh like a fool

Silent Hill 2 remake
Any good? After dicking around with the RE4 remake, I assume this one has modern controls? Played the shit out of the original, but cannot go back to that. Even back in the day I kept swapping between the two schemes depending on how retarded I was being that day.
UFO 50 play pretty good. I like 2D games that I can just fuck around with a bit.
This wasn't one on my radar until my wife sent me some article, saying "this looks like old stuff you play". It's pretty ok. But I didn't have expectations. The Shadowgate-like (Night Manor) was very good, Mini and Max was almost great, and I fucking loved the western, FF-style game.

For expectations that were met... Most recently...

Dragon Quest XI. Been playing the series since Dragon Warrior. It's comfort food that they keep making slight improvements to. They never 'tarded it up like Final Fantasy.

Honorable mentions in no order...

1. The first Tomb Raider reboot.
2. Streets of Rage 4. I had high hopes, got it, thought that it looked like some lame mobile game. Fucked with it for a bit, put it aside, and then picked it up months later and played the shit out of it.
3. Breath of the Wild. I was on a two-month speed run/mega-crunch for a big deliverable, and when done treated myself to a Switch and that game. It was literally everything that the first Zelda wanted to be, and more. Not to sound like a zoomer, but it truly is "a mood". Never got into the sequel.

After that, nothing yet. Slogging through FF16 now, and it's... eh.

Party house and Rock on! Island are both good. Pingolf, Valbrace, Overbold are all decent. The Mortols are good but broodal
