The Spiral Staircase was pretty good I should do research and see if there is a better print since mine is from the bargain bin at Big Lots ages ago. Interesting premise for a thriller that I'm shocked hasn't been remade or maybe it has and I just never bothered to look.

Oh! I forgot, they did remake it, as a TV movie in the seventies.

I will never watch it though as this one can't be topped, in my opinion.

PTA is hit or miss for me, but I loved both There Will be Blood and The Master. Boogie Nights is probably my favorite film he's done though. Magnolia and Punch Drunk Love were pretty good too.

I didn't like Inherent Vice or Licorice Pizza. Phantom Thread bored me to tears.
I liked inherent vice because I had read the book beforehand, but yea Boogie Nights is a fucking MASTERPIECE.

Watched An American Werewolf in London. Not sure why I put it off for so long but enjoyed it. Really great practical effects and makeup. Not as funny as I hoped but I did laugh at some of it.
If you want to see what in my opinion is one of the best werewolf movies ever (it's late 90s as FUCK just FYI) you should watch a movie called Ginger Snaps

Just watched the 4k Criterion release of Mulholland Drive. I had the bluray and didn't expect much of a difference but holy shit the print is fantastic. My favorite David Lynch movie and possibly my favorite movie of all time. This was my 8th or 9th time seeing it and it just gets better each time I watch it. 4k isn't a meme.

Ginger Snaps rules. Even enjoyed the sequels. Dog Soliders is another good werewolf movie

I liked Ginger Snaps unleashed, but I couldn't get into Ginger Snaps Back. I'll give it another try because it's in my queue.

Dog Soldiers was badass. I fucking love werewolf movies, especially ones that use practical effects and not gaylord CGI.

You know what I was thinking about the other day for like no reason?

How come none of the leads from Office Space are famous? That was such a good movie, and I haven't seen any of those actors outside of the occasional law & order and other one-off guest appearances.

But they are. The only one from that movie that I haven't seen in anything else is the pajeet. All the cast has been successful in other TV shows and movies.

I'm talking about Peter, Michael and Samir. Other than the occasional guest appearance on a show or quick cameo in a movie I never see them.

Peter was in Boardwalk Empire and Band of Brothers for a good chunk of it. David Herman voices hundreds of characters on animated shows, in Futurama he basically voices everyone that isn't a main character. Samir I'll give you though. Speaking of Office Space I enjoy it more now that I'm older and jaded than when I first watched it in high school. Great comedy.

Watched Seven last night - a cop movie where the two leads aren't even believable as cops (a nigger and a pretty faggot who tries to look hot with his mouth). I have no idea why that movie was a big deal.

I enjoyed that movie but you're right about Brad Pitt. I don't think I ever liked him as an actor. Maybe in Cool World because his job was to be the annoying pretty boy foil to the actual hero of the story. I guess I liked him and fight club as well but that's the only two movies he's ever done that I can think of.

Watched DRUK. Pretty compelling for a movie that boils down to four guys drinking the whole movie. Mads Mikkelsen is a fantastic actor
