What was Patrick expecting the police to do?

Since the incident, we've all been laughing at the audio, picking out the best parts etc. But can we just take a minute to acknowledge how fucking unreasonable this swine was being with the police?

I've seen people like Null take his side and say that he was rightfully angry at the police for doing what they did but why? He was so irate because the officers who showed up to his half hovel weren't aware of his story but what difference would that have made? They'd still have to treat it like a real incident, even if they're aware there's a good chance it's a hoax. Did he actually expect them to call him first?

MPD: "Hello Mr Tomlinson?"

Rick: "Yes, child. Speaking"

MPD: "Sir it's MPD. We just received a phone call saying you've shot your wife. Just wanted to check that's not actually the case"

Rick: "No, child. I did noT shoot my wife. You've simply been pranked again. Do you know how many times I've told YOOOOOOOOUUUUUU that's what's happening???."

MPD: "OK, sir. We can definitely take your word for it that she's not dead right?"

Rick: "You didn't lisTen. I just said I didn't shoot her. now HANG UP!! NEVER CALL THIS HOUSE AGAIN!!!!!!

MPD: "....."

My take is that his anger was 100% justified and he was right to call them fucking idiots. Unless he spurred on the situation directly, the cops don't have the right to drag a person out of their hous-- well, half-hovel and put them in handcuffs.

But the scenario is directly a result of his insistence of being belligerent to people. He won't stop feeding trolls, and nobody should have any sympathy for people who, for example, would try to correct phone scammers; I get it, they're annoying, but you can just block their number and ignore them and they'll go away.

Ultimately, Torque Wheelinson has wasted more taxpayer-funded resources than most. Fuck him. He also eats way too much, the fucking pig.

This is what Jeffery Dahmer told the Milwaukee police when a black boy was reported as being eaten by him. They aren't the brightest cops in America. That's why Pat moved there btw.

Genuine :image_9248: question though - how do the police deal with a house that's considered a swat risk differently? Presumably they at least have to go round there and knock. And if there's no answer, they have to force entry. I'm assuming it's at that point they were confronted with a belligerent pig and had no choice but to cuff him.

Of course the situation was made more complicated in this instance by the fact that his house is split into two because he's poor and Niki forces him to sleep alone in the attic.

I do agree with Null that swatting is a shitty thing to do since it puts the police in an impossible situation.

I don't know the FBI statistics :image_9253_m:

But they should do the mathematics: there are X amounts of homes per neighbourhood, and there are Y amounts of SWAT calls that absolutely don't require them or were illegitimate.

I highly doubt that the conservative :image_9251_m: answer to that is "yeah let's drag a nigga out his house and cuff him while he's half naked and asleep". If I'm wrong, fine, but it still infringes your human rights.

Luckily for us, Rick is mostly bacon.

I'm genuinely doubtful that anyone from here did it (whatever 'it' is, & we're generally more creative), but assuming a genuine swatting did take place then he could've leveraged this to get local cops on his side, but he sounded like a complete maniac. I'm not a fan of police in their current iteration but it sounded like they were acting surprisingly cool in the face of his lunacy.

After I was swatted I had 2 visits from senior officers - in my case probably to mitigate a potential complaint - but a perfect opportunity to get something looked-into if needed. Obviously I don't need the police for that so it was just 'thanks but no thanks, bye'. I'm sure at minimum they've added the words hostile & aggressive to the incident record... so no child-gloves next time they need to corral the hog.

The original audio was such a tease; every audible crackle-noise I heard made me shout 'YES! TASER!!' Oh well, I'm sure he'll get himself into bother before long, without any help from us.

I 100% agree, but it would depend on Rick's initial response to the police & the number of police there; if he was instantly agitated towards maybe a female cop & a midge/lardass cop then handcuffs might be the least forceful de-esculation to resolve the matter.

This is how bad/crazy Fatrick is... it's got me almost defending cops. FFS!

Not sure what’s going on with this board but, being a female cop isn’t any excuse. The dumb bitches chose to be cops. If they can’t handle the fact that 50% of the population can cave their skulls in at any time then they shouldn’t have signed up. Yeah pig was feeling brave yelling at a female, and he’s a sssssscumbag for it. It doesn’t negate her decisions. If we remove our knowledge and biases of the pig, he has every right to be pissed. The government should absolutely not be allowed to storm your home in the middle of the night. We have laws that take everyone’s right 100% of the time, in order to protect people from 1% of the time. It’s completely retarded. That being said, it doesn’t mean he’s still not a total bitch titted faggot for publicly screaming and crying, escalating an already bad situation. The cops were wrong, and so was Rick.

We'll soon find out if the cops 'stormed in' or not. Methinks Piggy is embellishing that part too. My hope is they politely said they were going to do a sweep just as a precautionary measure (that it's SOP for such calls) to make sure everything's OK but he overreacted to the point where they had no choice but to cuff and restrain him (for their safety) until they were done.

Would love to see him spin that.
