I like that both AVGN and Nostalgia Critic have both had serious attempts to make them "The New Lolcows" and neither one fell to it because they're both such out of touch old retards they're not as obsessively online as one needs to be in order for that to take.

I went on a deep dive with these two dudes and all their AVGN videos like 1-2 years ago. They hate AVGN's modern stuff and really went into how fucking lazy and stupid he's become. Apparently AVGN never played video games past the NES and everything he's talked about after that was written by that other guy. The other guy left to be a streamer by himself because he wasn't getting 50% of the profits and AVGN went off to do his gay movie and gay book and whatever else, now has outsourced most of the production of his videos to some other company and he pretty much just appears as talent. As I recall they said the AVGN basement was a real basement at one point but he's moved or whatever and now it's a set.

Most of the people who go after Doug are failed CA hangerons.
Doug sucks but I hated when a bunch of other e-celeb losers dogpiled on him for his shitty The Wall review like Anthony Fagtano and (I forgot the rest).
