What I like about that guy is he's a soft-as-shit, love-is-love Orange Man Bad soyboy vegan who has spent the last 20 years studying pretend fascism. Playing the games, reading the novels, painting the figurines. It's never occurred to him that fascism's meeting an emotional need for him that's unmet in his real life; and when people ask him about it he just says "the other factions are bad, too" even though he's reeeally focussed himself on the fascist side.

Apparently he has his own private security detail following him around, as if he hasn't siphoned enough money out of these pathetic faggots.

When there is one of these abomination conventions close enough to me, I'll fucking be there and finds ways to bat signal to him where I'm coming from. He'll cower like a bitch a d run to security.

You ever play D&D? 5e was designed to make things super simple and then leave it up to you to add additional, more complex rules if you wanted. 40k is the opposite. It has generally been about "Oh, you want simple rules? There are other games for you to play." But they have recently tried to simplify things a bit. It's incredibly fun even if the balance is fucked up somehow at any given time. It's kind of nice always having a new army be OP for a bit before they nerf and buff things.

I’m intrigued by all those tabletop RPGs like that. I just started playing D&D which has been super fun, but those tabletop ones just seem insane.

There’s a shop I play magic at and these dudes will have an entire table, probably 10’x3’, covered with miniature trees and terrain and shit, moving around these little armies and shit for like 6 hours.
