Opie has never said anything funny in his life.

Hard disagree. Opie was constantly brewing up strong takes. He just needed material to work with.

I would've at least like to have heard what the anthony and jim show wouldve sounded like.

You heard it many times over the years at Compound and it fucking sucked.

The only thing Anthony and Jim did together that really made me laugh was the old yenta voices. And they got a liittle too comfy doing it.

Jim Norton was a wrecking ball who tarnished the O&A brand. He made contributions, like some of the vernacular. And some of the comic lingo like calling out bombs. Other than that Jimmy ruined the flow, constantly stepped on bits and ruined the punchlines or a setup for Anthony.

Rich Vos is the one who really changed the show for the better and introduced Patrice and all the useful people. Norton put up a fight for Sean Rouse. Good job Jim.

The "cunt won't even look at me" text is a prevailing point: Anthony and Jim LIVED to make Opie miserable, to provoke him, to fuck with him personally and professionally. They reveled in it. They bonded over it. They celebrated it in private like cowards. When confronted wha happen? Anthony slinks and lies. Like a FAGGOT
You gotta take the bad with the good; the "Cellar Crew" were all Norton's friends, and were only there because of him. The glory days of the O&A show were pretty inarguably entirely because of those guys. I don't care how many of them call AntH "the funniest guy to never do stand-up!", if their friend Jim wasn't on the show, none of those guys were going to be regulars.

A lot of them wanted on the show for the plugs really. Because being a regular comedian on Stern or O&A was almost a guaranteed way to sell out certain markets. That was why the Jim and Opie fight over Sean Rouse was so heated. Because Opie was sick of having lame comedians use their show for plugs like they were a low level terrestrial radio local morning show. And Opie basically threatened to Jim that he would no longer be allowed to book or suggest any guests for the show. Jim needed that ability to bring his friends onto the show to make him a power player in the Cellar crowd.

And Norton used to relish in his power as a gatekeeper for O&A, where he could book comedians, UFC fighters, and porn whores for his own amusement even if the fans hated those segments. He could basically use the show for UFC plugs and weasel his way into a UFC gig. Or invite a bunch of porn whores on and get a gig at some porn awards show. O&A were just as guilty sometimes by having stupid faggots like Lazlo on the show just so they could get voice acting parts in a GTA game.
Yet another example of Anthony rewriting history; pretending only Opie wanted to trash Howard
Anthony liked trashing Howard when they were not working for the same companies or in the same building. But any time they would need to trash management or someone from their own company, including Howard, Anthony was the conflict averse mommy's shoe wearing faggot. Like when Anthony would argue about nigger crime, guns, 9/11, or whatever by himself on the air he was all confident and loud. But any time a guest would challenge him he would piss his pants like when Ron Bennington was there with Colin Flaherty. Or if a caller challenged Anthony he would just pot their mic down or hang up on them.

Fact is that if Opie were to show up to a Compound show live, Anthony would do nothing but praise him and not argue. He cannot have any conflict around him personally. Unless he is beating his girlfriend over her finding a vibrating buttplug or whatever.

You couldn't possibly be more wrong. Jim Norton didn't introduce anyone to the show. Rich Vos brought Patrice Oneal... Jim Norton didn't turn O&A on to anyone new.

In fact, Norton tried and failed to block DL Hughley from appearing... Norton successfully blocked Gavin McInnes from ever appearing on O&A because he didn't want VICE to get angry at him for talking to their former owner.
