Downside to traveling alone is sitting next to random faggots on planes. When I was single I'd invite a buddy not for his company but to serve as a traffic cone in the seat next to me to minimize being around street shitters & fats. Three sink lifestyle.

What kind of shithole hotels are you going to that don’t have 24 hour front desk?
Usually that checkin time thing is to let you know that the room isn’t ready until then, not that no one is there.
Usually what I do in this situation is book the night before and then call the hotel and let them know I won’t be arriving until the morning and to make sure they don’t give the room away and have it ready for me when I arrive.
