Steal flac's on soulseek, use Foobar on computer: Lots of lossless quality, instant massive free collection, autistically organized, lightweight & flexible, can use endless VST's to manipulate the audio if you so choose, etc. There is absolutely no reason to ever revive CD's when you can store a warehouse worth of them losslessly on a cheap hard drive, whereas analog formats require you to actually use proper equipment. SACD's are the best digital audio ever got but you're limited to remastered boomer albums.

Some physical media really is better, but 9/10 of the gatekeepers are men who carry purses who want you to think they're better than you.

Idk about music but having your own physical, or even digital copies (stored locally) of movies makes total sense. Loads of movies slip through the cracks and get left behind with each new format, Some get fucked with via censorship, and some have weird rights issues and availability comes and goes like the original Dawn of the Dead.

The audio quality aspect is overblown, but I won't use streaming services because I'd never trust having the entirety of my music library in the hands of some shitdick company that might fold because its investors decided they weren't making enough money. Which is not to say I'd rather have a CD, but I still need "offline access" for all of my shit.
I bought Reno 911 on Amazon and like 5 episodes are just unavailable. They took all the 30 Rock episodes with blackface off too.

I find the clunky UI and unreliability of music streaming as annoying as physical media's impediments. MP3 on a thumb drive in the car always.

You gotta have access to several formats, B. I keep physical media for the stuff I always want to keep and not have someone decide I can't hear a naughty word. Not to mention bands "improving" the originals with a remastering then not allowing you to buy the original recording ever again. I don't subscribe to any streaming sites but I pirate anything I like.

At a certain point you've just got to say that music is fucking gay. A hundred years ago you'd be lucky to have a piano at the bar with all the drunk assholes singing loudly about Ireland. Now you can have anything anywhere. The more you think about it, the more you're wasting your time.

The only way I listen to CDs is in my car because the stereo holds six at a time, otherwise it's just Youtube Music because I like it more than Spotify.

Megadeth did that 20 years ago and they totally fucked the production of their catalogue. In the originals you could hear every instrument clearly, and the remasters have the bass and snare drum turned down. The only way to listen to it now afaik (aside from buying an original copy off Ebay which goes for $60) is there's a playlist some guy uploaded to Youtube. Listening to it off Youtube sounds better than off the remastered CD.

Dave Mustaine is a faggot.

There's a thread on da forum about songs banned from Spotify and I was surprised to see how many nigger hate songs had officially sanctioned YouTube topic channel uploads. Why anybody bothers with Shitify is beyond me.

The DMAN also vouches for soulseek. Songs are fine at 320kbsp mp3, maybe try .ogg if you need to save file space.

The DMAN springs for the flac Vinyl rip if he's feeling sassy and sharp tongued about a song he's familiar with. Pops and scratches can be irritating, but the vinyl brings out distinct parts of old songs, in The DEXPERIENCE. It's a new way to enjoy a song you may have exhausted.

As for physical media, The DMAN understands the bitter resentment that rootless zoomers and other urbanites who will never be homeowners hold against storing physical objects. What?? You mean when I buy something, it actually has to exist??? I have to touch it when I want to consume it? I can't just press a magic wifi button and let my bug man ISP download the content from the bug man company's servers, instead of just popping in a cute little disc.

Half the fun of physical media was the packaging, the extras like posters, and special features that streaming sites lack. DVDs had some wild extras and commentaries, The DMAN used to spend all night watching movies without and then with commentary back to back. The good old days.

Paying for movies is always gay. The DMAN snuck into theaters and had DSCRAMBLERS to steal PPV loop channels back in them days. Even paying for music with iTunes in the early iPod days earned a DSCOFF... When you can just import your own free shit from torrents. The DMAN does not have Netflix or any of that shit. Disposable media is just that... Trash bin bullshit not worthy of a monthly membership fee.

Steal everything you can get your fawking hands on. :lwjxnwp:

Eh, I forgot about special features, DVDs are worth it. Some bluray rereleases can't even put the dvd special features on them.

I found my band of Brothers box set the other day. It's just I don't have a dvd player anymore.

Hasn't it turned out apple delete downloaded films if they lose the rights to them?
