I hate people like him. They think they are too smart for everyone, then when they actually get caught/are forced to pay, they are the ones who cry the hardest about it.

Years ago I was a debt collector for student loans and I saw boomers who acted like pat constantly. They racked up huge debts going back to school (this was the mid 2000s and the debts were under 10 years old) then when that degree wasn't a magic ticket to success like their boomer brains believed, they just say "well screw them,I'm not paying". Well once it got to us, the guarantor had taken over the loan and they wanted their fucking money. So every feb-april or may we'd get pissed off calls from people who's tax refunds were offset and I loved it. One lady was screaming at me because she had a 5-6000 dollar refund coming for all her crotch goblins being claimed and it got taken. I couldn't feel bad for her because I know she had so many opportunities (like pat) to at least try to make arrangements, set up a payment plan etc, and forced us to take it from them. Also that job ruled because my boss was a super racist black dude.

For people who think Quasi will never get his money, keep this in mind:

• Both Patrick and Nicole are on the hook
• Nicole has an SEO business and makes way more than Patrick. Easily enough for Quasi to garnish some of her earnings
• Nicole's mom is rich, and after she croaks, Quasi will be paid inheritance money before Nicole.
• Same with Patrick's parents, although neither of them are rich

If they want to bite the bullet and make it their life goal to never pay Quasi a penny, then neither Patrick nor Nicole can have more than a couple hundred bucks in the bank at any given time, no more nice vacations (which is probably why they are getting it out of their system now), no having an income above poverty level, no selling their house/moving somewhere nicer, no retirement savings, no nice purchases (i.e. cars, motorcycles, home improvements).
