He reminds me of this kid at school, Steven, who used to make up the most laughable lies, often about his family. He claimed that his dad had been a Navy SEAL who fought in Vietnam (bear in mind he was English) and used to date Catherine Zeta Jones before he married Steven's mother (Steven was born in 1983 and Zeta Jones in 1969, making his dad an imaginary pedophile.) In hindsight the kid was clearly mental because he just wouldn't back down and admit he was full of shit. To the extent that some guys in our class threatened to confront his dad at the Sports Day that was coming up and Steven nonchalantly said "yeah, go ahead ask him." They did and the guy looked at his own son with a mixture of despair and disgust. Steven looked totally unfazed and not embarrassed. Just a nutjob. But at least he wasn't fat.
