The LotR trilogy was lightning in a bottle. The Hobbit movies were already dog shit and even those movies had the same people involved as the good ones. I could barely finish the second Hobbit. The behind the scenes stuff on the Hobbit was fascinating because of what a colossal clusterfuck it was.

I'm a huge LOTR fan. I even own the Christopher Tolkien books that go through his father's early drafts. I'm still not even going to watch it out of curiosity.
