Does anyone know when the movie is going to get released and if they are using the shot (get it?) where he discharged his gun and killed someone?

:colin_sm:
Caught a couple sneak previews in clips during opening. It looked different than every single other western out there and definitely worth killing someone over

Kevin Costner didn't kill anybody but he also threw it all away for some 3/10 western movie recently.
No, he didn't, lol. I read an article with the headline that Costner had sold his home to finance the movie but if you actually read it then it said that he sold a plot of land that he was going to build a third vacation home on or something.

Is he sticking with the story that the gun went off on its own?
He HAS to. If he testifies to being stupid enough to pull the trigger (and he'll probably testify, actors are really good at it) then no insurance company will insure any production he's a part of. He'll be DONE playing dressup for the rest of his life. This is why he's starting a reality show centered around his insurable wife and kids.

Also, the intentional act of pulling the trigger will give Rust's insurance company weasel room out of paying claims to Alec the producer for the financial injuries he's sustained, meaning the settlements Alec paid to the people he shot. (Or estate thereof.) [EDIT: For the most part, insurance does not cover intentional acts. A narrow and obvious exception is bouncers/security guards can be insured against their job-related intentional acts, but that's pretty much it.]

Alec is fuckin cooked if he testifies to an intentional trigger pull.

Even if it wasn’t loaded / had blanks - and you were assured that by the person paid to check, why are you absolved of responsibility for checking yourself and pulling a trigger with blanks is still highly dangerous. I don’t get it but I know zero about the law.

There is 0 excuse, even if the gun was full of blanks you don't get to say "They were blanks not real bullets!" when you kill someone. Same as "they were supposed to be blanks!" I don't know shit about the law but if I beat someone's head in with a hammer and tried to say "I thought it was a foam hammer!" I doubt that helps me get a manslaughter charge

I don’t think I’d even contest it, I’d just tell the truth, I get sexually aroused dressing up like a cowboy and killing women to look cool.

For real though, he’s also the producer and the main man, he hired that fat retard who let live rounds onto a cowboy movie shooting guns everywhere.

I watched some of her trial and he was also just reckless, pointing guns (prop or not) at people and firing because “it was the best shot” and stuff.

I hope he gets sued in civil court by the victim's family. If a guy like OJ Simpson (who was found innocent FYI) had to pay millions to that money grubbing Brown family, then Baldwin has to lose everything.

There's one important thing to remember in all of this. OJ ran for over 2000 yards in 14 games! 14! How crazy is that? RIP to that absolute legend.

Speaking of OJ: Since he got acquitted, did you ever catch the real perpetrator?

What's confusing you???????? Yeah he pointed the gun towards her and pulled the trigger like a stupid dipshit, but how was he to know an even bigger stupid dipshit had put actual bullets in there? As far as he was aware it was a "prop" gun. So not entirely his fault. I still want him to go to prison because I think he's a Pat level snarky smug asshole and I would loff.
I’ll keep this brief:
1. He knew the crew was using the guns after shooting for the day (heh) for target practice.
2. He cheaped out (his production company) and hired a shitty armorer.
3. All the union members walked off the set due to the unsafe practices.
4. It wasn’t even part of a scene. He was just goofing around and fired at a production lady between takes. Which admittedly, is a pretty funny gag.

I'm surprised I seem to be the only one that thinks he hired her not so much to be a cheapskate but rather to burnish his woke Hollyweird credentials by hiring a young female armorer in one of the last niche specialties that are still dominated by old white guys in Hollywood. He wanted to help dismantle one of the last little bits of the patriarchy for virtue signaling points. The fact that she was one of those old white guy's daughter probably also helped, so maybe also nepotism.

I would love the same standard to be applied to regular workplaces, especially dangerous blue collar workplaces, where whenever a guy on the job fucks up and people get killed, that it gets blamed on the HR cunt that hired him or at least selected his job application to recommend to the boss. That never happens. 100% of the blame is placed on the employee and/or management, not the person that hired him. Let's start putting the blame on woke HR employees who keep hiring brain-dead DEI mechanics that cause airplane parts to fall out of the sky. I don't feel bad that uber-woke Boeing always gets the blame, but bad maintenance isn't their fault.

Regarding your point #4, I'm sure she did something to deserve it. Probably trying to act like the boss on the movie set and getting lippy with Alec. Everyone knows about his nasty temper.

This is the first I've ever heard of him being aware that the crew had used those guns with live rounds. Also, I had heard that he was rehearsing/discussing a scene in which his character would point the gun towards the camera and shoot, and that's why he did it in the first place. Either way, like I said, he's a Pat level smug asshole and I'll loff so hard if he goes to jail.
