Best new movie I've seen in the last 3-4 years, not that I watch many new movies these days. Would only recommend to certain people though. Tough to blame anyone for thinking a black and white movie shot in 4:3 is pretentious and turning it off after 10 minutes, even if I think it's a mistake.

The VVitch bored the shit out of me. If I'd known it was the same director I probably would've skipped The Lighthouse.

I didn't want to suck the movies dick too much but given how much unoriginal shit comes out these days it's a 10/10 movie for me. It is based on the smalls lighthouse tragedy which is an interesting story in itself. After that incident they started dropping off 3 wicks instead of 2, just in case one guy died causing the other to go completely mad.
