After all those years living and playing guitar in the Long Island area, Joe doesn't have a single friendly venue where he plays on even a semi-regular basis. Not even the seediest, shittiest local dives will resort to hiring Solo Joe. He doesn't have a single friend in the music business, even on a local, peripheral level. Even the local Moose Lodge won't have him back. He has no local reputation, and draws no money whatsoever. And surely everyone must know of him by now. I bet there are some totally hilarious stories out there re: this topic.
