I bet Pat never wanted to wake up in the morning for school and his mom let him stay in and sleep. I have 50 or so posts on Instagram since 2014 when I made it and only two of them are actually of me, and neither are selfies. One is climbing a rock with a beautiful scenic background, one is with friends.

It’s the only social media account I have, I can’t fathom tweeting every thought I’ve ever had, of posting pictures of myself all the time. I’m happy with my appearance and wouldn’t post a selfie. This fat pig posted a dozen selfies using his gyms hashtag. If I didn’t know him and the depths of his narcissism I’d think it was cutting edge satire.

I don’t think school should start before 9:30am for any middle schooler or high schooler. It’s one of the few things Patso is correct about. Everywhere that has shifted to a delayed start time has seen improvements in student performance.

The issue is Patso blames that for being Mr. 1.7. They could have started at 1PM and Pat would have still failed. He just wants to use it as an excuse.

I personally believe the theory that he had a traumatic brain injury when he fell off his bike. I’ve known people who did just that and lost all impulse control and became exactly like Patrick, stubborn to a scary degree, obsessed with their own image of being smarter and better than everyone else etc

This is also a good theory, didn’t his grades gradually drop? Plus he’s got that little mark at the top of his forehead. He should be wearing a helmet at all times.

I think he was this way from his childhood. I am projecting but I see Pat as a version of myself taken to an extreme.

Shitty parenting and a very ADHD child. Patso probably did very well on standardized testing so he was “smart”, but never learned any necessary skills to succeed in life. His childhood was probably very traumatic given his comments about bullies breaking his arm. He was probably a very ADHD-weirdo who simply could not fit in and lacked the insight as a child to understand why.

Pair that with scoring in the top percentiles on standardized tests but being unable to thrive in the classroom or socially and you have a perfect recipe for “I must be right, and everyone is stupid and wrong.”

He’s held on to that DELUSION to protect himself ever since. Anytime actual perspective and reality has broken through it’s been so painful he has put a gun in his mouth.

I kind of recognise that too, some times I have moments of brutal clarity and realise what a fucking cringey freak I’ve been. It’s a cycle I try to break and basically ALL boils down to relaxing, shutting up and living by the right actions and not by the right words.

I agree Pat is like the sleep paralysis monster of what that behaviour and having no self reflection leads to.

The grades gradually drop as the work becomes more difficult. Someone as ADHD as Pat will do well when he can just show up and take the exam. As soon as he has to study or learn outside of the classroom - let alone do homework - he’s gonna flip hard.

I used to think Patrick did display intelligence because his first book isn’t bad. The thing is his first book isn’t bad because he spent 10 years writing it and his publisher gave him decent editors who actually helped.

His other books are shit because he had to really use his imagination for once (as opposed to a decade of tinkering) and the publishers realised he was a dud and gave him a dyslexic editor who didn’t do anything and probably didn’t even read it.

That’s why other than that first book they have spelling errors and are littered with amateur mistakes because nobody bothered checking.

He’s not intelligent at all, he can feign it to retards by regurgitating smart things he’s seen on Reddit and by talking in that pseudo intellectual way online atheists do, but when Josiah put him on the spot his brain shut down, like it does in his stand up comedy videos when he’s forced to think on his feet.

He is certainly no higher than the average IQ at best.

Patrick graduated in 98 and I know there were special ed schools, or even special ed departments in regular schools, but I wonder if they had those specialized programs for kids line Patrick to attend regular classes then. Things like extended test times and more resources for tutoring and things like that.

I was all AP/Honors (it's called 'peaking', fellas) but I had a ton of friends who just didn't give a shit about school and ended up being carpenters and whatnot. They gave zero shits and took 3rd track classes. They were still at least C/B- students. A 1.2 without phys ed is legitimately retard-level. And missing as much time as he did would get the parents in trouble where I'm from unless they had a kid with a diagnosis.

I had a friend that had a frontal lobe brain injury (car crash) and he's like a different person with echos of his former self. He curses for no apparent reason, steals shit without hesitation, doesn't change his demeanor no matter who he is talking to, is weirdly overtly sexual, etc. He almost seems like he is on auto-pilot and his body is just doing whatever the lizard part of his brain is thinking. Had to cut him off in my late 20s because it was so uncomfortable.

I also was friends with kids that had no plan of going to college and we’re going to do trade jobs (work study, half day tech school, mechanics, truck drivers etc) and they even were at least B / C students. I had one friend who was going to take over working on his families farm who could of just dropped out at 16 yet stayed in just to goof around with his friends and he ended up making honor roll senior year without even trying. Piggy has no excuse for such awful grades.

This is exactly what happened. She is an actual psychologist, so there's no way she didn't recognize that there was something wrong with him.
