I got a new royalty check, child. And my vibrant neighborhood has many places I can cash it.

His lies are just so fucking predictable any more. Whenever something bad happens to him, he makes up some shit in a Twitter post to make it seem like he's a success. I remember when we were tracking his book sales for months and basically had proof he wasn't selling anything due to the horrific Amazon ratings he had. He came up with the Audible.com royalties lie. So here he is getting slammed on Twitter for being 130k in the hole for the lolsuit so of course he has to retaliate with a lie about getting money. He also frequently lies about not being fat.

Most people only bring up royalty checks to poke fun of how insignificantly small they are. "Got another royalty check. Forty-nine cents. Retirement, here I come!"
Let's get crazy and say it was $2,000 - would it still be worth bragging about? That's not a ton of money, Pat. It hardly covers the $20,000+ you forced yourself to owe.

Most publishers pay out royalties every six months; and I'm pretty sure Tor pay out in October.

What Pat thinks is a couple of hundred bucks for whatever foreign rights are still left on the table a year after his last book was published, is in fact his entire royalty check for three books.

Stock up on feed corn Pat, and pay cash - it's going to be a loooong, cold winter.

But Patrick, I thought you said that "defamation" was hurting your sales. Of course you've also said the opposite, so never mind... everything's normal there.

Young Jamie, spit my cock out and pull up that clip of Emo Philips doing this bit in Weird Al's Behind the Music

That last lie really grinds my gears.

Who the fuck makes an announcement on social media every time they get paid? Nobody gives a shit. Most people get a paycheck every couple weeks so it's not a huge event for them.
The only time I’ve ever heard anyone brag about a royalty check online it’s when they get a very small/silly amount. Wade Boggs used to give his yearly royalty check from his one Simpsons episode for 9 cents to a charity who would auction it and raise money (usually thousands for an interesting piece of sports / Simpsons memrobilia) for a good cause. Successful people don’t brag about getting a royalty check because it’s unprofessional. This behavior is why he is ignored by his peers and without a contract.

Also note this is the second time he’s made any money all year. No current contract, no freelance writing, etc.
