Well yeah, look at what website we're on.

Dunno why you always get so defensive about this show though, baby boy. It was pretentious, reddit tier garbage. "I really loved that Kim was wearing a red suit in that scene. It symbolizes the fact that she's being corrupted by Jimmy. Vince has done it again " Yuck.
I don't get defensive but it is a great show and the fact that you get so hung up on actors aging lets me infer that a lot of it went over your head.

I’m about to give the worst takes ever.

Better Call Saul > Breaking Bad.

Breaking Bad is literally a faggot Western where the main character is a machismo douchebag Reddit-tier science atheist. The first 2 season were really fucking good because it felt grounded in reality and it was funny. After that the show devolves into 4D chess drug lords, Nazi gangs, impossible scenarios, and EXPLOSIONS!!!!!!

I can roll my eyes at a THOUSAND scenes from that show that you know the writers thought was fucking badass. “I am the danger” “Say my name” “Nothing stops this train” “I’m in the empire business” “I won” The fucking dubstep car scene…It’s so fucking lame.

Better Call Saul in comparison, while it has it’s many flaws that others have pointed out (The ending bus scene, Lalo’s…entire character, the aging, the flashback scenes) it’s more grounded in reality. Theres not explosions happening every episode.

The first two seasons of that show and the interactions between Jimmy and Chuck are fucking great, and Jimmy is a more rounded out likable character than Walt ever was. Walts entire motivation was “WAAAAH I DONT FEEL LIKE A MAN! I NEED TO COOK METHARINO AND ABUSE MY WIFE!”

Kim is a better character than Skyler and more complicated than Jesse “WAAAH MY GIRLFRIEND DIED SO I MUST COOK METHARINO” Pinkman.

My biggest criticism with Better Call Saul is it’s humor. Jesus christ, what a fucking unfunny show. The talking toilet and all the other humor scenes fell so goddamn flat. Jesse going “A robot?” is funnier than anything on that show. Saul going into a jewish sperg out was fucking hilarious though.

Overall, both of these shows are Marvel movies for people who think theyre smart.

Hold on bro, I know you’re paralyzed on the ground and I could easily kill you. But that would be too easy, and muh people need to kill you with an axe so you have enough time to convientely shoot me in the head with one bullet.

All of this criticism is lost on Breaking Bad fans. I sort of like the show but if you try poking holes in it people think you’re saying its the shittiest show ever. It’s not and it deserves to be critiqued like everything else, retards.

Agreed. I really like the show, but its got a LOT of trash in it. In fact, the whole plotline of this show is fucking retarded. Science teacher cooks meth. Wow, so cool. Such a crazy allegory for the 2008 housing crisis. Wow. Reddit gold kind stranger?

Lol my favorite thing about that is that’s become the common consensus among fans and accepted as fact. The concept of cooking meth in an RV, according to Vince Gilligan, came from a conversation when he was out of work and a friend suggested cooking meth in an RV. Theres interviews where people ask Gilligan “Did you intend to make a commentary on healthcare in the US, teachers in the US, and the housing crisis” and he’s so confused because he just wanted to make some drama show about meth that was sometimes funny.

The show was great when it was about the conflict between the McGill brothers. After Chuck was killed off, the writers clearly did not know where to go.

He wasn't supposed to make it past the first season.

100%. It would've been good if it was 3-4 seasons and they had a clear direction to go with it. All the Breaking Bad fan service shit was so bad and unnecessary. As if there needed to be an entire fucking season about how Gus' lab was built.

She was good in the earlier seasons but became insufferable towards the end. Her crying on the bus in the final season is some of the worst acting I’ve ever seen.
No joke. That entire scene was written specifically to get her an Emmy. They were campaigning for her to get an Emmy for that scene before the episode even aired. Not that I liked Succession but I hope it sweeps Better Call Saul for all of the awards just to make reddit fags miserable.

If I had already knew these dudes from that show it would have taken me out of it. didn't realize so many of the same characters were in bowlth.

One of the most annoying things about the fanbase of BCS is that its pretentious faggot fans love to harp on about how it's so much better than Breaking Bad and completely surpassed it. Meanwhile a good 30% of the show is just fan service for Breaking Bad.

So many terrible cameos where the characters look 10 years older than they did in BB but are supposed to be 5-10 years younger. Look at Aaron Paul in this scene. He's supposed to be 22-23 here. Fucking embarrassing.

I had no idea that even happened. Must be towards the end of the series? I could see that that shit being hugely annoying

It was in the final season. They crammed tons of Breaking Bad fan service in throughout the entire show but bringing Walt and Jesse back was such an embarrassingly stupid decision. Aaron Paul was already in his late 20s during Breaking Bad's original run where he was supposed to be a 22 year old wigger, but he could pull it off. Bringing him back in his 40s to play Jesse again in this show was so awful. They did the same thing in El Camino (absolutely terrible Breaking Bad sequel movie) where it was so obvious he couldn't convincingly play an early 20s guy anymore and Bryan Cranston was wearing the worst bald cap in the history of cinema. Observe...

That was an awful, awful scene. "Bad guy has good guy dead to rights, but lets his hubris give good guy one last-ditch chance"...that was a tired trope back in silent movie times. I couldn't agree more with your take. I enjoyed BB, and felt it was a really good show, but it was hardly the pinnacle of modern entertainment.
