Thanks to lawyers you pretty much have to try hard to get fired and has to be a whole process of warning / warning period that could take months to a year. Now with staffing issues everywhere they can’t even afford to fire someone but the digital media agreement makes it easy to quickly bounce someone for posting crazy shit online with their name related to the company
She’s been “fighting” by…posting on Facebook. She’s like the pig, thinks yelling into the social media void is her calling in life and believes she’s making a difference. This is what happens when you don’t have a job and you’re hated by friends and family.
I meant more the younger people posting selfies of them at their desks with dumb stuff like “workflow” not crazy rants about the place they work. Certain departments of my company deal with customer financial information so they really get freaked out if people are taking selfies of themselves working because the computer screen could be in the shot.
That’s very true, I’m actually dealing with a situation like that right now in my department. We’re really short staffed and they hired a POC woman couple months ago and she’s the definition of unreliable. Either she’s late, has to leave early, barely does any work (like hours go by where she does nothing but look at her phone) and calls out all the time and management just looks the other way. She’s been out all week because she had pneumonia for the 3rd time since April. Always pulls the “I can’t work today my kid is sick, I can’t work today my other kid is sick, I’m sick again I can’t work” mind you were able to work from home but she’s always “too sick” to even do that. But they their quota and diversity is our strength so it’s just business as usual.
Yeah it’s crazy, if you’re a white male at my job you HAVE to have a related college degree and previous experience working for similar companies but POC? You pretty much just have to have a pulse and you’re in. We’ve hired some new quota people recently and not even two weeks in they already have an attitude and saying “no” and “I don’t wanna do that” to the responsibilities related to the job they were hired for. Even to the point of mgmt telling them “your shift is 10-7” and they say “no, I’ll do 830 to 530” and mgmt says “OK!” And makes the white staff members work longer days to make up for it.

Yeah it’s awful but that’s how the corporate world works now. They send company wide emails patting themselves on the back for how much they love diversity and it’s our greatest strength. They even recently started hiring felons to fight against “systematic racism” (nice way to say black people are felons)
