What are you looking forward to?

I recently got one month of PS Plus Extra and wanted to get the most out of it, free games, so in one month I played through Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Guardians of the Galaxy, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memories, Undertale, TMNT: Shredder's Revenge and What Remains of Edith Finch.

Last game I played was HROT. I'm tired of the 'boomer shooter' trend, but that one has real charm.

It also has a Cakehorn enemy type.

I recently got one month of PS Plus Extra and wanted to get the most out of it, free games, so in one month I played through Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Guardians of the Galaxy, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memories, Undertale, TMNT: Shredder's Revenge and What Remains of Edith Finch.

I really disliked Edith Finch. I appreciated what they were trying to do, but the one with the bathtub really bothered me, and the one at the beginning was weird. I guess the fish head chopping was OK. Highly overrated.

FF7 Remake was nostalgic at first, and I loved the music, but fuck it was repetitive and drawn out. Winning battles towards the end just seemed to be to have enough phoenix downs.

How was Guardians of the Galaxy? I hear good things.

Also I think Undertale is for faggots. I associate it with Reddit.

Finally I beat Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and I really loved the ending of it. They didn't fuck it up somehow. I went through the game slowly and savored it, and was finally like, "It's time to beat this thing," but I wasn't expecting the ending sequences to be so good. What they did with Zelda and Ganon and how that translated into the gameplay at the end was PFG. I don't feel like anything is "great" anymore, and the end of Zelda actually is an exception to that rule. One of the few exceptions in years. I don't see how Nintendo can top it.

The fish head chopping and the bathtub wre my favourite parts, I wish that the gameplay had been incorporated more like it was in those.

I never felt it was drawn out and repetitive, but I changed my playstyle a lot during it so that might factor into it.

How was Guardians of the Galaxy? I hear good things.

The writing was great, on that front it's among the best recent superhero media. Much better than the MCU films. Gameplay itself was very repetetive.

I like to play old arcade beat em ups, so MAME has been my pal for some time now.

I've come across ones that never even hit my side of the world, and I'm in and out in less than a half hour. I can't do these long jaunts anymore, they're terrible.

I highly recommend Knights of the Round, and especially Simpsons Arcade.

I've come across ones that never even hit my side of the world, and I'm in and out in less than a half hour. I can't do these long jaunts anymore, they're terrible.

I highly recommend Knights of the Round, and especially Simpsons Arcade.

I played Psychonauts 2 recently because it was on sale. It's more or less as good as the first one. Better QoL stuff but not as funny and has a tinge of faggotry about it with the "this game is about healing" womanly shit. Cooler PSI powers though.

I'm looking forward to the Super Mario RPG remake. I don't care what anyone says, Paper Mario (and especially thousand year door) sucks a dick compared to the OG. It's one of the best JRPGs ever made and is simply fun from start to finish.

I'm also waiting for Dragon's Dogma 2 to get released. No idea if it will be good since they're tight-lipped about it but 1 was bad to mediocre in everything except the combat which was awesome. So, if 2 manages to not be total shit then it will be great.

I was obsessively playing Zelda, Tears of the Kingdom since its release. I've powered up to the max and done any and all missions outside of the endgame. I think I'll go ahead and beat it and get the Switch port of Red Dead 1.

There's a lot of really obscure ones that i found through MAME, like Cadillacs and Dinosaurs and Ninja Baseball Bat Man that I never saw in person.

As a kid I would have murdered someone for the ability to play any arcade game I wanted with unlimited continues, but now I just kinda throw them on when I'm drinking. I really should play them more

Aliens vs Predator, I never played it before and was amazed by it. Even Dungeons and Dragons, I'd never play the pen and paper shit, but that's a good game I've played with the band.

Funny you mention Ninja Baseball Bat Man, that's the only one that ever stuck with Alicja, and she still brings it up to this day. I think she just liked the name though.
