That's one of the big things about AA and NA. The fake caring. So much that you end up barely caring about yourself. They give you keychains and little medals for showing up to a certain number of meetings like a video game achievement. It is all surface level and superficial. There is no time to address why anyone is addicted in the first place on an individual level.
And even worse is that you leave the NA meeting an every other person on television in politics is advocating free needle programs and drug allowance and open drug markets. So you go to the government for help with addiction and their first response is "you want a clean needle?". Instead of "you want to get clean?".

All in with da Steve-O. Honestly, to get clean and stay that way after the amount of substance abuse he did is impressive which you can't say for all of the Jackass crew. Yeah he does come off a bit phony, but I still enjoy his podcast and he seems like a more likeable guy compared to someone like Knoxville.

I can't hate him though. A while ago he posted some video to YouTube where he has his hot girlfriend pour a bottle of his hot sauce up his ass and then he did a backflip off a table and as soon as his feet hit the ground he just fucking sprayed hot sauce and shit everywhere. You could tell he didn't mean for it to happen by the way he was hysterically laughing and trying to keep his dogs away from it. I couldn't believe what I just saw. I was actually jaw-dropped by it. It wasn't a live video either, he actually deliberately posted that to YouTube.
